Democrats blame messaging for their political problems
The Hill via Yahoo ^ | April 13, 2022 | By Amie Parnes

Democrats say they’ve done a lousy job at highlighting their accomplishments in a year plus of unified power in Washington, and are blaming this on the possibility they will suffer major losses in November’s midterm elections.

“Look, I’m not going to BS. We’ve done a f—ing horrible job and sometimes I think we deserve to lose big in November,” said one Democratic strategist. “Democrats can say whatever they want but it’s not honest.

“The narrative here doesn’t exist,” the strategist added. “We need to wake up fast.”

Some Democrats are baffled at Biden’s low numbers given what they think is a list of robust accomplishments. They list the coronavirus relief bill passed in March, a bipartisan infrastructure bill and the recent confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson, who will be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.

Biden’s ability to tout a domestic agenda is now challenged by his administration being consumed by Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Since the start of the year, he’s only done one sit-down interview, a stunning fact for some White House observers.

Biden and other Democrats have tried to drive home the number of jobs being added to the economy, with another 431,000 added in March and unemployment at 3.6 percent.

But inflation concerns have won the headlines.

There is more than one level to this. The true believers can’t even conceive that their communist ways cause the same problems that appeared in every other communist state.

Then there are the Dems that just want power and couldn’t care less about socialism or capitalism or any other ism. Those people know the public is stupid, and the right “messaging” (lies), will win the public over.

That’s a pretty thin resume for the first two years. In fact, it sort of disappears in the light of day. A “relief’ bill that was nothing more than another handout, quickly spent; an “infrastructure” bill that has yielded no visible results. Job recovery, not job creation, and everyone knows it had nothing to do with biden. Nomination of Jackson is just another leftwing democrat to 90+ % of the population, and a rather embarrassing display at that. So democrats, is that all you got? Really.

What really sucks for them Dems is that they have lied about their accomplishments...if they told the truth, they would have 100% disapproval ratings.

“I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.” Will Rogers, about 1932, remarking on the state of politics at the time.

And this was BEFORE the New Deal of FDR was instituted.

Hillary has blamed messaging since 1998. Broken record.

They also believe socialism works, but it just hasn’t been implemented by the right people.

The Democrats problem is not that their message isn’t getting out. Their problem is that their message is getting out and people know it sucks.

So the three big “accomplishments” listed are:

1. COVID bill - caused inflation, was not needed, added greatly to the national debt and further weakened the future of the US dollar, wasteful

2. Infrastructure bill - very little infrastructure, see item 1 for the rest

3. Jackson to the SCOTUS - openly Marxist, hates the Constitution, totalitarian, pro-groomer and pro-pedo

Wow - they really need to advertise these awesome accomplishments. Brandon’s low approval rating really is just a messaging problem.

Additional accomplishments:

4. Cut and ran in Afghanistan, killed 13 servicemen, left 80+ B$ in great equipment for China and the terrorists to use. Then, has quietly given the Taliban billions in cash!

5. Inflation at 8.5% and rising!

6. Supply chain shortages that are not getting better

7. Trying to get into a war with Russia over a corrupt government over a piece of land that is none of our business

8. Let 2-3 million new invaders in the southern border, with another 3-4 million expected soon.

9. Systematically destroying the US culture, economy, safety

And, the hits go on!

Don’t they always say that? It is either their messaging isn’t reaching people, or people are too stupid to understand them. It is never that they might be wrong.

In January 2021, a large part of the economy was locked down in blue states. The supposed Covid relief act subsidized unemployment and evictions were frozen. Once that money ran out, people had to return to work. Labor participation hasn’t reached pre Covid levels. Nothing to brag about.

ps

Freezing student loan payments is the last subsidy to buy votes in 2022. The moral hazard of allowing people not to pay back loans will make borrowing much more expensive.
