Listen to this article 0:00 / 2:50 1X BeyondWords Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson aims to bring her country into NATO in June this year as Finland also signals intent to join the Western alliance following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Andersson told Swedish outlet SvD that her party, the Swedish Social Democrats, had made a decision on "the NATO issue," with party informants telling the outlet that the plan is to submit its application at the June 29 NATO meeting in Madrid. Any application would require 75% support in the legislature.

"This is an important time in history," said Andersson, speaking alongside her Finnish counterpart on Wednesday. "The security landscape has completely changed."

Euronews this morning reported an Austrian delegation going to Brussels to meet with NATO.

Too soon to speculate that it’s about Austria joining NATO but maybe it is time for Austria to swear off neutrality and recognize that it only leaves them vulnerable to threats by Russia.

Disbanding NATO would never pass muster at General Dynamics, Raytheon, and Boeing.

It is hard to blame them, even if Russia doesn’t like it. It’s a big old mess.

This makes total sense from Sweden’s and Finland’s viewpoint.

Specifically because Russia is being governed by an insane war-mad dictator who has lost his mind and is lashing out against his neighboring states.

Just how many of these would come to the aid of the USA in the case of a full military invasion by the likes of China?

I wonder if very many would.

The Euros mostly make their own stuff.

So your list should be much longer and much more “diverse”.

If the US were invaded by China the general situation of the world would be .... extremely bad. China would have to own the Pacific to do that.

Start by asking about Taiwan. Britain sent their new aircraft carrier on tour over there last year.

They would cheer or join China in the invasion.

It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out. Sometimes deterrents don’t actually deter (see Administration deterring Russia from attacking Ukraine). When in the case of Ukraine, deterrence didn’t work the consequences were the war going ahead as planned. They are putting a lot of faith in border states being in NATO being a deterrent. The other possibility however is that they ignite the situation. People really should ask some questions before diving head first (not the strong suit of the “elite”). If Russia calls your bluff is everyone ready for the next world War? Considering that people are concerned about losing Russian oil in a few years how about tomorrow? Germanys reserves are at 1%. Rand Paul made a point of this when the world drafted Estonia. I guess the President has little say because I’m not sure why Trump accepted that nonsense.

HA! Thats a joke.

Ever take note of how many enemies are already most likely salted into this country? Take a long look at our southern border.
