Ukrainian forces in Mariupol have been forced to surrender to Russian soldiers as they are run out of ammunition and have been fighting without sufficient food and water for more than a month, according to an Independent report.

A British man who volunteered to fight against Russian soldiers in Ukraine is also among these soldiers who have surrendered after defending Mariupol for weeks.

PBS correspondant Simon Ostrovsky posted a picture of the British volunteer and confirmed that he had surrendered to Russian troops, according to a former squad member.

To be fair, they were welcomed in many places where Ukrainians have been killing and raping for 8 years. There are so many similarities to Bosnia here it’s uncanny. Do you remember the misinformation then? I did 2 tours there, I left Canada thinking the Serbs were a bunch of demons. I learned differently. I learned then that there is no MSM that you can trust for anything. They all have an agenda, and they all lie.

Yes and the Ukrainians bragged about torturing Russian POWs, even by castration.

That British volunteer is a moron.

There is ZERO excuse for torture, no matter what. NONE. I’m so sickened by the globohomo Soros/Ukraine lovers bragging about and encouraging torture against their enemies. The next target of dehumanization and torture could, and likely will be Trump supporters.

The campaign against Russians in Donbas began in 2014. The legal basis of the ethnic cleansing was codified by Zelenskys party after his 2019 coup.. At any rate, he’s an illegitimate racist pos that needs to be replaced if there’s any hope for peace.

Illegitimate? Vs what standard in this world? Such as, any election, ever, in Russia? Are you putting yourself in the shoes of the EU, that objects to the legitimacy of the Polish government simply because it dislikes its policies?

Yeh, I guess the indiscriminate bombing by Russia resulting in the deaths of likely thousands of civilians is a pretty liberating experience for some like you.

Azov is a tiny number of people.

Less than 1% of their military, and less than 2% of the population voting for candidates of that nature.

in the Ukrainian Parliament, the Ukrainian Rada, these parties did not pass the 5% barrier in the last elections. The Russian imperialists and the Russian aggressor call every Ukrainian a “Nazi” who loves his native language, the history of his people, who loves Ukraine and wants Ukraine to be free. In the eyes of the Russian imperial, a “Nazi” is every person who wants to live in his own separate state, his home, on the land of his ancestors and who does not suffer from the imperialism that Russian imperials suffer from. In the eyes of the Russian imperial, even a Russian-speaking Ukrainian who wants to live in a free democratic Ukraine is a “Nazi” only because he does not want to be in Russian slavery, in a Russian barn and on a Russian chain.

Considering Russia has presented absolutely no credible evidence to back up those claims, it’s fairly obvious that they’re fabricated. This is further reinforced by the fact that the Kremlin kept changing their minds on their reasons for attacking Ukraine as time went on: they were supporting the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk, then they were taking on the Nazis, then they were rescuing Russian ‘hostages’…the list went on, and was getting considerably less believable with each lie.

Ukraine’s own resistance to Russia rather demonstrates the absence of any Fascists or Nazis present in the country: if Ukraine’s government were fascist in nature, they’d be siding with the Russians, not fighting against them. Such individuals want an authoritarian government of the sort that Putin would install - and, let’s be honest, he’s pretty Fascist in nature himself, so it’s doubtful he’d see modern Nazis as anything other than allies. Let’s not forget that he’s aligned himself with certain American individuals and groups that are similarly-oriented.

At the end of the day, Vladimir Putin simply wishes to restore the power, prestige and territorial holdings of the former USSR, imagining that doing so would place him on a pedestal next to Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin: influential leaders who turned an agrarian nation into a global superpower. Invading and annexing Ukraine was simply the next thing on his tick list, and with certain parties in the US having significantly undermined the NATO alliance, he felt now would be the best time to do so, not anticipating the level of resistance and sanctions that have been the response of the rest of the world.

Putin’s invasion has got nothing to do with Nazis, and never did. That was merely an excuse, and not one that anyone outside particularly indoctrinated circles would be likely to buy into.

“Ukraine” never even existed outside of a Soviet politburo scheme to create it in 1920s. There is no Ukraine nation. It’s a cesspool of Nazi Banderite Russophobes that Schwab-Soros-US/UK Stasi operatives are using to create a dumpster for weapons sales and human lives.

Ukraine was seen as a separate territory with a distinct population since at least the 17th century.

The name should give you a hint “u kraina” on the border in polski. It was the land between Poland, Muscowy and the Ottomans.

The first Ukrainian state was the Kievan Rus’. The Rus’ part from the name might be misleading as it could suggest that was a Russian state. Rus’ was actually the name of the Vikings who were the overlords of the local Slavs (Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians). Just like in the case of the Germanic Frank overlords, who passed their name onto the French, the Russians got their modern name from those Germanic overlords, the Rus’.

Kievan Rus’ lasted for about 300 years then succumbed to internal strife and the Mongol invasion.

The Ukrainians had another short-lived state as Zaporozhan Cossacks in the 17th century, after successfully rebelling against the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. However they had to seek the protection of the Russians and ended up annexed by the early 18th century.

So when Ukraine became independent again after the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, that was the 3rd attempt at statehood. From 1991 until now we have the 4th Ukrainian state.

Russian trolls love to claim Ukraine never existed before Brest-Litovsk taking advantage of the fact most of the people never heard of the Kievan Rus’ (and if they did, they would believe the Rus’ were Russians).

Ukrainian nationalism was born initially out of the conflict with the Poles and was later amplified by the Russian state systematic attempts at eradicating the Ukrainian language. Those efforts begun in the 17th century and lasted until 1917.

The 1918 Brest-Litovsk treaty signed by Germany and Russia included Russia’s recognition of several independent countries, including Poland, Finland, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania - all former parts of the Russian Empire. A few years later, Russia subverted and attacked Ukraine, using methods similar to those used in 2014-15 (trying to blow up internal conflicts into a civil war, sending regular and irregular troops, forming puppet governments). This was successful in that Ukraine lost the short-lived independence and became a part of the USSR. Russia also attacked Poland, but was beaten at the Wisła.

The campaign against Russians in Donbas began in 2014.

That's incorrect. - look at the timeline

This is clear that the separatists attacked first only later having a referendum.

There was definitely no "campaign against Russians in Donbas" - as you allege.

Zelenskys party after his 2019 coup.

What 2019 "coup"? There was an election that was monitored by international observers and in which the previous President - Poroshenko (who was also pro-Europe) was voted out.
