Prices that consumers pay on everyday items surged in March to their highest levels since the early days of the Reagan administration, according to Labor Department data released Tuesday.

The consumer price index, which measures a wide-ranging basket of goods and services, jumped 8.5% from a year ago on an unadjusted basis, above even the already elevated Dow Jones estimate for 8.4%.

Price increases get the attention of even the dumbest people.

The only question is—who do they blame?

During the Carter years most folks just got sick and tired of being sick and tired and figured if Carter went away things might get better.

Yes. I should have thanked the great one for that or we would all be in tax chains by now.

Putin inflation will be repeated 128 times in broadcast, cable and print media within the next 24 hours. The ChiCom paid propaganda machine is really banging the gong for f Joe now.

Despite the repetition, I don’t think it will work to shift blame from f Joe. Inflation began on day one when he shutdown the pipeline. Energy is in the base cost of everything.

Bidens OWNS all of this mess:

Record inflation
Skyrocketing crime rates
Loss of energy independence
Chaos at the southern border
Afghanistan debacle (with dead U.S. military members)
Teaching five-year-olds about sex

Hang every bit of it on him and his administration.

Very true but in addition to inflation there were gas lines and foreign policy weakness that was embarrassing the country.

Carter was inept, but well meaning. Biden is intentionally destructive. Huge difference IMO.

Calamity Joe.

A wake of destruction behind his every step.

To lighten this dreary thread up—now the Saudis have real SNL type skits on Biden—the ones American late night comedy is afraid to touch:

A rule for a democrat voter

If you vote for someone to fun the future you better damned well look at what they did in the past or stay home.

There was some wonderful subtlety and double/triple meaning in the Saudi sketch:

—The Kamala actor was a male dressed in drag. This was a dig at the LGBT stuff and “Michelle” Obama as well.
—Having a woman correct Biden is a stunning insult—since Saudis regard women as second class citizens.

Where do they come up with this 8% BS. More like 100% a month.

People were not in a tizzy over prices in 1981. So things are much worse now. The numbers have been manipulated to make things officially look way better than they are.
