How blue states FAILED to protect Americans from COVID: NY and California had huge deaths rates, ruined kids education and destroyed business with lockdowns, new research shows

States that imposed the harshest lockdowns had the most devastating impact on the public, the most wide-ranging study into Covid restrictions in the US to date has found.

New York, California, New Jersey and Illinois were panned for their pandemic performance after bringing in draconian measures to shut their citizens in their homes.

The Democrat Governors' policies caused high death rates, ruined children's education and destroyed businesses due to the severe curbs on freedom, researchers found.

Meanwhile states that allowed their residents more freedom as coronavirus swept across the country appeared to fair better over the last two years.

Florida fared sixth, with its Governor Ron DeSantis condemned in the early days of the pandemic for what critics claimed was a reckless desire to reopen too quickly.

Utah, Nebraska, Vermont, Montana and South Dakota were praised by analysts for their pandemic response which did not cause more Covid deaths.

The Republican-led areas have seen their economies remain strong and unemployment figures stay steady due to fewer restrictions, the study found.

The report, written by the National Bureau of Economic Research, said shutting down during the pandemic was 'by far the biggest mistake governors and state officials made'.

It judged states on their economy, education, and mortality and compiled a comprehensive list showing how they now stand as coronavirus dies down.

Co-founder Steve Moore told Fox: 'Shutting down their economies and schools was by far the biggest mistake governors and state officials made during Covid, particularly in blue states.

'We hope the results of this study will persuade governors not to close schools and businesses the next time we have a new virus variant.'

Its very interesting You can read Ted (the unibomber) Kaczynski’s manifesto. He predicts the world falling apart as people flow into the larger cities and they fall apart. Ted blames it on technology. Its sort of a 1984 thing. Government and people themselves get dehumanized by machine. Basically the very machines that are supposed to help people actually enslave them.

They pretty much destroy business and ruin kid’s education with or without the excuse of a pandemic. It is the nature of the liberal beast.

Amazing report from one of the most liberal sites on the internet!
I live in very rural Hawaii and for the most part was un-affected by all the Democrat imposed BS or I just ignored it.
The real devastation of their actions are yet to be felt and we are just now experiencing what “following the Science” did, is doing, and what it will do, to the world.

The “Science” that concerns disease, Man caused climate change, and energy, water, and food production is mostly all Democrat party BS!
I have a degree in Science and I only see politics.
That is all.

Blue State kakistocracies attacked the Constitutional rights of American citizens and gave aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States.

biden proved the kung flu is a scam when he disbanded trump’s “operation warp speed”, opened our southern border, and spread over 2,000,000 nondocumented unvaccinated invaders across our country during a supposed “global pandemic” while anthony fauci, the cdc, the nih, the world health organization, the enemedia, hollywierd, and the majority of our elected representatives sit back and watch...

Useful to remember that when people express anger that “businesses were shut down and economies were destroyed”, they are talking about events that are measured in little pieces of paper with ink on them that are put in wallets.

They are not talking about counts of outright dead people.

When we measure actions taken that “work”, the definition of work is people who continue to breathe and have a heartbeat.
It is not a measure of pieces of paper.

When people ask for a balance, they are asking politicians to quote a dollars per death parameter and there is no way in hell any politician will ever ever ever do that.

Lockdowns likely did not save many lives. It was a failed measure, but the failure was not about economics, it was about enormous numbers of dead people that last year lowered the US life expectancy 0.4 years. That applies to young people btw. They will live on average that much less. The 0.4 is tacked onto the 1.9 year decline from fentanyl and Covid in 2020.

The US, because of Covid measures failure, now has a life expectancy about 5 years shorter than 19 peer developed countries. That is a sharp increase since Covid.

So the problem is the virus has overwhelmed us. We have no measures that work, and that’s global and after 2 years. Pathetic, and it is showing in the only thing that matters — how long you will live.

All of this to scare everyone into mail in voting so they could steal the election, AND make millions on fake “vaccines” that make everything worse.
