The latest of the commission’s reports, released Monday, alleges that an intentional detonation of planted explosives caused the April 10, 2010 crash of Soviet-made Tu-154M plane that killed Kaczynski, the first lady and 94 other government and armed forces figures as well as many prominent Poles.

Their deaths were the result of an “act of unlawful interference by the Russian side,” the commission's head Antoni Macierewicz told a news conference.

"The main and indisputable proof of the interference was an explosion in the left wing ... followed by an explosion in the plane's center," said Macierewicz, who in 2015-2018 served as defense minister in Poland's right-wing government.

He denied that any mistakes were made by the Polish pilots or crew members, despite bad weather at the time of the crash. A Polish government special commission has reinforced its earlier allegations that the 2010 plane crash that killed President Lech Kaczynski and 95 others in Russia was the result of Moscow's assassination plan.

Suspicions are additionally fuelled by Russia's refusal to return the wreckage, which has complicated Poland's investigation.

Earlier, two separate reports by Polish and Russian experts on aviation incidents said the crash on approach in dense fog to the Smolensk airport, which did not have sophisticated aviation equipment, was the result of human errors made in adverse weather conditions.

They found no proof of foul play.

I remember that day I was listening to a German radio station at 350 am Eastern US time in the morning on my lunch break at work.

They interrupted the program to announce the plane crash and in German they said what was known at the time including the bad weather in the area.

I studied German in high school so I got the gist of the story from the start.

I put Polish TV up on my laptop later it was a special day the news anchors on a special set for coverage of the massacre commemoration now talking about the aviation disaster.

The best explanation is that a foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, sabotaged the plane. Clinton's people the TSA covered up the crime. Both had something to gain by silencing JFK, Jr. Using a foreign intelligence agency to do favors is how its done today. The guilty parties leave the target country and are mostly immune from investigations in that country when they return home.

What you are doing is blaming the victim. It's the same thing with the "official" Putin-Tusk theory about Kaczynski's jet crashing: It was the pilot's fault. I must have been the pilot's fault when Ron Brown's plane crashed too...

Changing the topic. I don’t know if you or your wife watch Polish TV at all. I’ve been totally caught up recently with a series called “Stulecie Winnych”. It’s now into it’s fourth season. The saga starts in 1914, and traces the history of one family and will eventually go to the present time. It’s a great way to learn about the historical events that happened in Poland. I just got finished watching the episode where Martial Law was declared in 1981. Luckily I can watch it on my browser and it automatically translates the subtitles into English.

Tax Sheltered Annuities have been around for a long time. Of course, since JFK, Jr. was assassinated you are wrong. The FAA covered that up. Just curious, how did the U.S. Navy get involved, since it isn't in the U.S. Dept. of Transportation? But my point was the timing—they had plenty of time to bring these accusations—12 years—and they wait until the western vilification campaign against Russia is in full swing. Seems suspicious to me. And in the meantime, Poland has announced its willingness to host NATOs nuclear weapons on its territory. Where is Europe heading? Seems like it is heading towards WW3 and the USA under Biden is putting its nose right where it does not belong.

The Poles understand that now is the time to escalate the pressure against Russia. The end game is Poland and Ukraine in a closer relationship, and quite possibly nuclear powers. The lesson of this war is that only nuclear weapons will completely deter Russia.
