Changing the topic. I don’t know if you or your wife watch Polish TV at all. I’ve been totally caught up recently with a series called “Stulecie Winnych”. It’s now into it’s fourth season. The saga starts in 1914, and traces the history of one family and will eventually go to the present time. It’s a great way to learn about the historical events that happened in Poland. I just got finished watching the episode where Martial Law was declared in 1981. Luckily I can watch it on my browser and it automatically translates the subtitles into English.

I don’t watch tv. But I’ll take your recommendation and look for this, thank you!

The last Polish serial I watched (on DVD!) Was Najdłuższa wojna w Europie, which I do recommend, but I don’t know if they have any one with English subtitles
