I can't believe Putin invaded. I predicted he would not invade because he had everything to lose and nothing to gain. Boy did I blow that prediction, but I was right in that invading was a blunder, it sure looks like Russia will be humiliated. China can't help but notice how poorly the Russia army is performing. Putin better find a general that knows how to fight.
Many believe that the war in Ukraine has shifted politically to where Putin’s very life is in the balance. Mother Russia will not recover from his blunder and as she continues to die, so does Putin
I was in the same camp; prior to Invasion Putin was in a strong position. He was raking in oil & gas profits and NATO was quaking.
Now that the Mouse has roared he’s in a pickle, which leaves him with the military option of vast and utter destruction of Ukrainian cities as well as Russia’s economy.
IMHO he may have planned on not invading until he saw the weak and feckless Biden bumbling about and thought “Hey, why not???”.
