“...71 percent of those surveyed blame Putin for the spike in gas prices...”

And where did ABC conduct this “survey”???

Survey was conducted at Cook County jail...

Cook County Jail can also be considered the largest mental-health facility in the country...

Another poll that demonstrates perfectly the ignorance and stupidity of the clowns living in this country. America has definitely gone turd world. However, they all still consider themselves as experts on everything the “media” nuts ask them about.

The MSM and Democrats have successfully shifted the blame for high gas prices. Leave it to the dumb masses to fall for it.

A majority of Americans believe that oil companies, in addition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, should be blamed for the recent spike in oil and gas prices, according to an ABC News poll.

Are low information voters a majority of Americans?

Setting aside the "blame game," to look at the actual evidence, you should see that actions taken by President Biden are the sole cause of high gasoline prices.

Biden single handedly destroyed our energy independence with the stoke of a pen.

Blaming Putin and the oil companies is old school and maybe the only item in the Democrat's playbook.

Oil companies do not control the cost of a barrel of oil on
the open market.

What they can’t take from the ground, causes shortages
globally.

That’s the long and the short of it.

Putin’s an idiot. He is not to blame.

A senile old man is.

Newsflash: a majority of Americans are STUPID and believe what they see on TV.

The #1 reason for high gas and energy prices is right at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and every DUMBASS decision he's made since stealing the White House.

#FACT

Oil companies operate under rules that are drawn up by persons who do not like the use of “fossil fuels” (a misnomer, by the way, because most petroleum is formed by abiotic means), and intend to restrict is use wherever and whenever possible, as a means to induce consumers to switch from internal combustion engines to electrically powered vehicles, because these marvels are supposed to be “cleaner”.

For a multitude of reasons, the plug-in electric vehicle that relies on some kind of storage battery based on lithium ion technology, has a number of problems with cost/benefit ratios for both the manufacturer and the user, especially as the battery originally supplied reaches the end of its useful lifetime. This system is far from optimal, and cannot, on a cost basis, compete with the internal-combustion engine, even with subsidies, and absolutely cannot without the tax breaks and incentives now offered.

Re-engineering the internal combustion engine to run on propane or compressed natural gas is both more cost efficient, and in the end, has far less impact on the environment, which the regulators seem to hold sacrosanct.

One more reason to reject the assumption of a landslide victory for Republicans with midterm elections.

Curious.

Both Putin and oil company gougers fit the administration’s narrative.

Amazing!

“A majority of Americans believe that oil companies, in addition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, should be blamed for the recent spike in oil and gas prices”

A majority of Americans have been brainwashed into thinking oil companies, in addition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, should be blamed for the recent spike in oil and gas prices,

There, fixed it

Another reason, I do not believe the Republicrats will gain a majority in either house this fall.
The American voter has been dumbed down to the level of 10th century peasant.

No doubt some morons in there, but I’m afraid it has far more to do with the abysmal US education system and nobody being taught basic economics, how the monetary system works or what causes inflation.

Instead, they are all taught to hate capitalism and adore the wonders of socialism.

So people naturally HATE capitalist oil companies.

We are reaping decades of crappy education and the marxist take-over of the educational establishment.

Of course, you could argue that all those morons are the result of our piss-poor educational system.

If the voters are this ignorant/naĂŻve, there is little reason for Dems to rig future elections.

A majority of Americans are fools, then.
