As a dual citizen Oz wouldn’t even be able to get certain security clearances. That may not matter to a “civilian” like your friend’s daughter, but it is downright bizarre to have a U.S. Senator in that position.

Trump should have stayed out of this race. Oz may not turn out to be a good choice. Even if he thought he was doing this for the sake of name ID, it may not have been necessary. GOP has tremendous momentum right now in PA according to this Reuters piece:

Thanks for posting that. I knew there was a lot of talk about the subject about six weeks ago, and it seemed baffling to me that Oz was allegedly willing to keep his Turkish citizenship even if it impaired his ability to get security clearances.

I’m beginning to think Trump thinks he’s betting on horse races at this point. Oz can’t even be counted on to vote with the Repubs - at best, he’d be another Romney. I ain’t voting for him, either in the primaries or general election. No thank you!

Oz has been reported in the past hanging out with Rudy Giuliani.

I’ll put my money there.

David McCormick is backed by Ted Cruz and is the other leading candidate who just moved in from Connecticut to run.

A Rudynick verus a Cruznick.

We also have Kathy Barnette who is the real deal conservative and another carpetbagger like Oz and McCormick Carla Sands who moved in from California (who sent her) to talk conservative and split votes.

I would be inclined to still vote for Kathy Barnette Carla Sands is a carpetbagger sent in to split the real conservative vote.

Trump intervened in this race because David McCormick a guy born in PA but living in Connecticut until recently was pulling ahead of Oz in the polls.

McCormick is also backed by Ted Cruz.

I'd vote for Oz. And I don't think he's anything like Romney. I think he will be absolutely loyal to Trump and his policies.

We need that seat and Oz has name recognition.
