More to the point families have no money. A middle class family from Iowa used to be the core demographic for almost all companies. But those folk have no disposable income anymore. Maybe they can scrape together $10K a year for fun.
A childless couple of 30 year olds in San Francisco or New York can easily have $100K per year of disposable income to play with. Apple, Tesla, Disney have all made their fortunes targeting this group.
But will those NYers et al go to Dizzyland? Pay that yearly 10K fee?
