I did see part of the exchange. Where I would be concerned is the demeanor of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. I got the distinct impression of an individual who would, if he could, order soldiers to execute a congressman right there and then.
At one point, it looked like Austin was struggling to find his ass. Long silence, he did not know what to say.

I have to take exception to Matt’s comments. In order to be embarrassed by someone’s ‘leadership’ implies that the object of derision has those skills in the first place. SecDef austin does NOT have such. He does however posses a Diamond Level Race Card. Probably Gaetz has already had that tossed on him so....................

Austin and Milley are perfect examples of how a military rots during peacetime. These two, like so many others are not true, proven warriors but adept political pole climbers who clawed their way to the top. The Joint Chiefs of Staff is little more than just another Federal bureaucracy controlled by commissars. Thes senior officers may dress and sound well but in times of real war, as the Russians are painfully learning, they are worse than useless and get young men killed. People in the ranks are painfully aware of this nonsense.
