Florida 'Don't Say Gay' law inspires proposed legislation in Ohio
WRAL-TV, Yes, a North Carolina TV station is whining about Ohio & Florida ^ | 04/05/2022 | Lauren del Valle

Two Republican state lawmakers in Ohio have introduced a bill that in many ways mirrors Florida's controversial law that critics have dubbed "Don't Say Gay" legislation.

House Bill 616 would ban the teaching or providing of "any curriculum or instructional materials on sexual orientation or gender identity" to students in kindergarten through third grade, using similar language to Florida's provision.

The bill also goes a step further than the recently passed Florida law, forbidding Ohio public school educators in grades 4 through 12 from teaching or using "instructional materials on sexual orientation or gender identity in any manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."

Boo hoo.

I have also seen FLORIDA liberal media complaining about OHIO passing laws.

Funny how we never hear North Carolina or Florida media complaining about Chicago's murder rate.

Now to get rid of deWhine so it won’t be vetoed.

Hmm, better find out Renacci’s position. . . . .

The very vehemence with which the Left opposes the anti grooming legislation in Florida and their massive temper tantrum when it passed should convince every other state that it urgently needs to pass similar legislation.

They are OBVIOUSLY trying to groom your kids.

Otherwise they would have no objection to this common sense legislation.

We shouldn’t even have to have these laws enacted.

I’d rather see this called the “No Grooming” law.

My thoughts exactly. I went to school many decades ago and none of that bullshit was ever taught in school. Somehow we managed to grow up to be productive members of society????

Propaganda obvious in headline-— “Don’t say Gay Bill” It is time to retire if you are a news organization and use that title of the law.

You do realize that it’s not actually called “Don’t say gay” don’t you?

That is the name the media and the left give it to control the narrative.

It should actually be called the...

D eveloping
I dentity
S afely
N ot
E xploiting
Y outh

bill...

On a side note.... Talking to or exposing other people’s young children to sexual topics without their permission should now be referred to as “Disney-ing” them.

Like this....”If you Disney young children, the parents should be able to sue you and you should go to jail.”

The GOP is missing a great opportunity to tie up the left’s legal wing. If EVERY GOP controlled legislature passed the same legislation the dims would have to commit most of their lawyers to fighting this legislation. That means they would have to stall the fight against new voting laws!

“....in any manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”
*********
1. This loose language sets the bill up to fail. A crafty school board could drive a truck through it.
2. And why is sex indoctrination any more appropriate for kids over the 3d grade than under?

Florida actually has that provision also, albeit in not so many words.

My guess is he’ll sign anything to win back Conservatives.

Too late Mike. We’ve had it up to here with you and Fran.
