The Left is EV Grooming now ,LOL
Prime rib and caviar are the answer to hunger.
See how far you can drive your electric brick when it's 12 below zero, Mills.
” Mills said. “It’s a long-term issue, but every day we talk about energy prices and electricity prices, what can we do, what more can we do to bring that down.””
We have already seen the brilliant prog ideas in that department.
They need to just quit trying, as doing nothing from them is much better that “helping.”
.
These people are living in an alternate reality.
There’s no chance the public can afford them.
There’s no change the grid could handle the load.
Further, there’s absolutely no need to panic.
There is NO crisis whatsoever!
There are NO WHERE NEAR enough charging stations these people are in LA LA LAND!!
If she cared about the planet, she would Mandate that All Public Employee’s drove them to and from their respective workplace or be Terminated and stripped of any pension and retirement benefits.
Show the People how to lead by example!
“..hope LePage kicks her butt...”
She’s an outright, utter moron.
LePage has a strong base and hopefully he kicks her butt all the way back to Taxachusetts.
So the alternative is high car prices.
Only a democrat would think that makes sense.
I can’t afford $5 a gallon gas. Maybe I should buy a $60,000.00 car.
I just looked at a map, if you live from Augusta south you could get away with an electric car. The further north of Augusta you live more idiotic the idea sounds.
You’re right.
They’re like little children throwing a tantrum because they want it NOW!
I live in Maine.
I can’t stand this moonbat Janet Mills.
Maine is a vast, mostly rural state. The distance to drive from point A to point B is way too far for their stinkin’ electric vehicles.
Most people in Maine couldn’t afford $60,000 - $80,000 for one of these firetraps anyway.
I voted for Paul LePage in 2010 and 2014 and I am chomping at the bit to vote for him this year.
I’m just waiting for the price of electricity for recharging these vehicles to go through the roof.
The people voted “no” on the electric power transmission line because it would stretch through Maine forest from Quebec to Massachusetts.
Maine would have received some temporary jobs but no electricity from this project.
The first couple years, Teslas offered free charging for life at their Tesla owned chargers. I wonder if a lot of buyers today think that’s still the case.
No. I really think, even if I could afford TWO new electric cars, or even THREE, gas prices would still be a problem for me.
There’s this simple matter of the Energy Density of a single kilo of gasoline: 13,000Watt-hours (13kWh)
Here is the energy to mass breakdown of Tesla’s battery packs from 2020:
50kWh / 320kg = .156kWh/kg
54kWh / 324kg = .166kWh/kg
62.5kWh / 370kg = .169kWh/kg
75kWh / 480kg = .156kWh/kg
Gasoline offers over 75X more energy at any given mass.
There is not now, nor shall there EVER be, any battery tech that even comes anywhere close.
Hey you there! Yes, pay 60k for a car with your low wage job to fight gas prices and putin!
In cold weather the range of the EVs is about 25% of warm weather.
