PRESIDENT Volodymyr Zelensky fought back tears as he visited the town of Bucha where Vladimir Putin’s troops have been accused of butchering civilians and burying them in mass graves.
The Ukrainian leader, who was visibly emotional, was flanked by security as he vowed to ensure that the “war crimes” committed by Russian soldiers on his country’s soil were “the last such evil on Earth”.
Harrowing pictures from the city, to the north-west of the capital Kyiv, showed the bodies of civilians scattered in the road and in shallow graves — many with bound hands and signs of torture.
Some of them, from the wounds they had suffered, had been shot from close range.

For example, Russian media outlet TV Zvezda claimed in an article published on the morning of April 1 that: “Airborne units, in cooperation with the Marines, successfully held back the actions of enemy forces in the direction of Gostomel – Bucha – Lakes for five days. As a result, the Marines were able to take full control of the territory from the Irpin River towards Kiev, with a total length of five kilometres.
“The commander of one of the Marine units Alexey Shabulin noted that currently Russian Marines conduct search and reconnaissance operations and clean up settlements with the further task of gaining a foothold in them”, the TV Zvezda article stated.
On the morning of April 1, meanwhile, a video was shared on Telegram featuring the secretary of the Bucha City Council, Taras Shapravsky, stating: “Currently, the city remains under occupation, many mines, houses and even corpses. Therefore, we ask those who remain not to approach dangerous objects. The liberation of the city continues, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, territorial defence are working to regain every metre of native land”.
Videos and photographs from Bucha, showing deceased individuals in civilian clothes, first appeared on social media channels on April 1.

That’s a false comparison. What would make it a more apt comparison would be if the early American colonies were controlled by The French(as we control Ukraine) and The French wanted to use the colonies to fight a proxy war against their enemy, The British. We would die fighting for no higher cause, with no hope of freedom or sovereignty. The whole purpose would be just to give The British a black eye. And at the end of the war we would go back to being ruled by The French, whatever was left of us.
That's what I don't get either. People all over on here are slobbering about Ukraine, conveniently forgetting that very bad people also support Ukraine. A thinking person would question what they support, when they see Romney, Pelosi, Soros, Kerry, Clinton, the real Biden years ago, Schiff, and countless others supporting the same thing.

If Russia was going scorched earth, Ukraine would have their utilities cut off, transportation hubs destroyed, crops destroyed, water plants captured.
But life still goes on in Ukraine. Some pictures and video get out. You need to wonder, just what exactly is going on over there?
If they were from Donbas, they’d know the Ukrainian government had been bombing them since 2014 because they wanted to be independent of the Ukrainian government.
That certainly is the official story.
I am much more cynical of the US State Department having seen them say multiple things on specific topics and then actually doing a third.
They lie by nature and serve their own interests.
Ask yourself why there's internet coverage if Putin wants to take over the country.
