It’s far more sinister. Students today are being told to believe impossible things: boys can be girls and vice versa, the world will end in 10 years unless you stop using cars, believe in us not your parents, don’t believe in God, science is whatever we say it is, mathematics is whatever we want it to be, your country is bad, you are a racist, etc., etc. It’s no wonder the number is only 44 percent.
A lot of these kids don’t have fathers. Fathers soldier on through lifes tragedies thus setting an example for the kids.(women do too) And we all know kids learn by their parents examples. Fathers tell their kids, yeah life is tough and many times not fair, Suck it up! And keep moving forward!
This is one of the CDC major success stories of the century. They will be partying all week.
Sarasota School system….virtual learning two weeks…masks maybe three weeks..kids here did fine…except ones with parents who were scared
Most adults leave high school at graduation and don’t look back. They would do well to return and take a long look at what they have become.
I live in a downstate Illinois metro area. I hadn't watched the local news in years until Covid hit. There is not a whole lot of good news to cheer people up. One of the stations I watch has a 2 hour morning show. The station probably has 15 minutes of daily content they repeat over and over again. The only good news that is covered is a winning sports team victory or a nice weather forecast.
Puzzy Nation, their Parents included!!!
Yet many of the young people in my area keep wearing the filthy cheap cloth masks despite the mandate being eliminated last month in NJ.
Pinkos and leftists spread misery. Covid is 1 thing, but misery is another.
And yet they’ll keep voting for demoncrats.
Years ago they’d end an hour of mostly negative news with a story of a cat rescued from a tree; now they don’t even bother, and instead of simply negative news it is downright “alarmist”. Ignorant people seriously believe the world will end in about two weeks...
I recall one of their BS weather stories (forecasting horrible storms too far down the road to have any reasonable expectation of accuracy) and they ended it by mentioning Trump had pulled out of the Paris climate agreement. These people are dangerous.
Sixteen year olds have felt “Sad and Hopeless” since FOREVER.
Part of growing up.
Our TV news is mostly local with a couple minutes of national news piped in. If it involved some negative news about Trump, the news readers would usually give a big smirk in agreement.
The problem was they were injecting it in local news; one news site for a north Jersey paper had been advertising subscriptions for 3 months for $1, and now they are up to 6 months for $1. Nobody believes them, and nobody would pay a red cent for a 20-year subscription. Anyone trying to monetize news in the NYC metro area will have a hard time of it; people are either unwilling to believe or unwilling to pay. Even the Wall Street Journal has been sending me offers to subscribe again years after I dropped it.
Living in a smaller metro market the local TV media doesn’t get overly political. About half of their network coverage is in red areas. The same goes for the local paper. They went bankrupt some years ago. It is probably not a wise decision having content that constantly criticizes half of their customers.
Seems understandable to me. A government that lies to them. A school board that wants to give them puberty blockers, groom and recruit them to the LGBTQ side and to keep it all from their parents, and the scare of a scandemic that is a glorified flu.
