Hunter Biden won’t like the interview his father’s chief of staff Ron Klain did with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday.
Asked about the Delaware investigation into the president’s son’s business affairs, Klain threw Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden under the bus.
“The president is confident that his family did the right thing. But, again, I want to just be really clear, these are actions by Hunter and his brother. They’re private matters. They don’t involve the president. And they certainly are something that no one at the White House is involved in.”
This is the party line, parroted by the Washington Post and CNN in their belated coverage of the story last week.
Sure, they say, it looks bad for Hunter, but, gosh, Joe Biden had nothing to do with it.
Unfortunately, this line of defense does not sustain scrutiny.
Judging by morsels trickling out of the ongoing investigation into Hunter, the scope has widened to include questions involving the president.
‘Big Guy’
Witnesses testifying before the Delaware grand jury are believed to have been asked if they know who is the “Big Guy” referred to in coded fashion in emails on Hunter’s abandoned laptop and in WhatsApp messages his former business partner Tony Bobulinski handed to the FBI in October 2020.
Bobulinski asserts that the “Big Guy” is Joe Biden.
The identity of the “Big Guy” is relevant because he was to be allocated 10% equity in a joint venture Hunter and partners were cooking up with Chinese company CEFC, according to an email on the laptop.

Hunter will not get thrown under the bus. I think, at the last minute the DOJ will clear him with some message like, “we’ve looked into Hunter and found no illegality”. It won’t be said like that but that will be the jist of it.
If you think a sitting president with a thoroughly corrupt administration is going to let his son get convicted, you’re not thinking clearly. brandon loves his son and has been protecting Hunter his entire life. This is a continuation of that.
Joe could pardon Hunter. There would be a few days of indignant editorials, then the media would forget all about the story.
It’s not about throwing Hunter under the bus so much as the ongoing scrutiny on Hunter will also suck Joe right under the bus with Hunter. You think Hunter will try to cover for his old man...? The very words of Hunter’s texts and emails implicate his father! They are going to try to get Biden out of office. You saw the pattern with Cuomo in NY state with him resigning and being replaced by a woman. Biden will be forced out to be replaced by Harris, a woman. I think that was the plan all along.

This is a warning shot to get the Biden faction to back off and accept the new replacement team when it becomes necessary to remove Joe Biden from office. He will be allowed to resign for "reasons of health" - which ironically will be the truth. They will avoid explaining the reasons in any detail.
The replacement team will be younger, healthier, and much better performers on television. They will be attractive figureheads with no real power, but they will reliably follow the scripts their backers give them.
We will need a new category for the Oscars awards: "Best actors in a starring role as President and Vice President of the United States".
It will be very interesting re how Putin responds to this in public and in private to Brandon’s enemies in America and around the world.
Hunter’s laptop and its contents will be or is now the first action by Putin and his FSS which replaced the FSB which replaced the KGB.
