Western officials expressed outrage on Sunday at videos and images emerging from Bucha, a town near Kyiv, that appeared to show civilian bodies scattered on the streets after Russia withdrew its troops from the area in recent days.
Footage posted by Ukraine’s Defense Ministry and photographs from The New York Times and Agence France-Presse showed the bodies of men in civilian clothes lying on the streets of Bucha, northwest of Kyiv. Images show some bodies with their hands bound behind their back.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense called the images “staged,” saying in a statement Sunday that “not a single” civilian had been injured in Bucha.

The first part of that statement might be true. But the last part is so unbelievable as to be nonsensical.
How would we know whether it was Russians or other Ukes doing this? Or both?

I trust the Russian government about as much as I trust our government. That is to say, I trust neither.
Because of all the civilian witnesses coming forward discussing casual Russian violence and rape.
Plus the Russians occupied that territory for three weeks, the mass graves they were digging are discernable from satellite photos, and you’d have to be retarded to believe that thousands of Ukrainian soldiers, international media, NGOs and governments could successfully hoax this event with zero whistleblowers.
We have also seen how poorly trained and demoralized the Russian troops are.
If they can’t understand how to turn on their SAM systems they also are unlikely to follow the laws of war.

How do you explain this in an official Russia n paper from Apr 1st:
“The units of the airborne troops, in cooperation with the marines, successfully held back the actions of the enemy forces in the direction of Gostomel - Bucha. Russian marines are currently conducting search and reconnaissance operations and mopping up settlements with the further task of gaining a foothold in them.”
