The biggest cooking oil bottler for UK shops has said it only has a few weeks' supply of sunflower oil left.

Ukraine and Russia produce most of the world's sunflower oil and the war is disrupting exports, said Edible Oils.

The company, which packages oil for 75% of the UK retail market, is ramping up supplies of other oils for shoppers. ... "From a UK consumer perspective, sunflower oil is the biggest oil. It's used more than anything else."

Who knew?
Russia is the top exporter of sunflower oil too?
As well as top exporter of fertilizer, wheat and one of the top exporters of oil and natural gas?
And these stupid western governments thought they were “punishing” Russia?
Who is suffering now?

No?
I use it all the time and I am still here and healthy. And old.

No sunflower oil is good for human beings as all seed oils = inflammatory garbage.

As far as I know, Europe is covered by Canola fields.
Canola oil is as good as Sunflower oil.
But, it cannot be used, because most of it is made into BIODIESEL!
Just cut a little bit of biodiesel and you will have plethora of oil!

No, olive oil is a fruit oil, as is avocado oil. Both olives & avocados are “fruits”. The seed is not used, but the fruit surrounding it is what is used to make the oil.

Which is even more weird since I hate olives but love olive oil and eat canned spinach.
