My wish is that nothing gets named after elected or appointed public officials. It's bad enough that the U.S. Navy is planning to name a ship of war after a damn lawyer! (My apologies to all you "damn lawyers" out there ... Cheers!)

The Navy built a class of cruisers that were intended for the Shah of Iran. They were bought by the USN as The Kidd-class and each vessel was named after a USN admiral killed in action during WW2. They were irreverently referred to as “The Dead Admiral-class” or “The Ayatolla-class”. One wonders what these fleet auxiliaries will be called?
