I always like listening to General Jack Keane so I will give him some respect for this answer. Not sure why he is saying this. Does he believe it, based on some unknown info we are not privvy to?

Goddamn right! He is a REAL general in the old school sense of the word. These drips on here who are bad mouthing him aren’t fit to shine his shoes.
Retired USAF here who spent three years behind the Iron Curtain in West Berlin. I know REAL generals when I see them.
I’ve heard Keane for a long time and thot most of his discussions were pretty weak and not nearly as instructional as one would expect from a guy who might be leading the convoy at some time. But in the past few weeks he sounds more like he’s been paying attention. As a 4-star, retired or not, he would have access to updates, etc. in case he gets the call and I’ll give him a little slack for seeming to get into the game.
General Keane is a pretty basic military analyst. He absolutely predicted a quick Russian victory at the beginning. Even when the Russians seemed to have been slowed down, he said it was admirable but the result would be the same.
Now he thinks Ukraine can win. That is a big switch.
Win at this point would be the Russians leave without getting anything in return. I’d love to see it, but doubt it.
