I don’t really understand how and why the US dollar is the world currency. But I know it is EXTREMELY important to our economy that it stays that way.
Could it be that our sanctions on Russia may backfire when it comes to this issue and destroy our dollar being used as the world currency?

That does seem to be the goal of the Left and the people who support them here on Ukraine.
They made their bed with the Russians, let them freeze in it. Charge them a reverse tariff on all American gas sales and rebate the money to Americans

The USD replaced the British Pound as world currency. It is a medium of exchange where people around the world agreed it was the least manipulated and best backed currency.
It is a double-edged sword and there are advantages as well as disadvantages. The claims that we’ll all be doomed if it is replaced as the world standard is overblown.
just remember, many, if not most world leaders are flat out stupid.
