Ukrainian forces may have struck back inside Russia on Tuesday with their first significant shelling.
A Ukrainian missile appeared to have hit a temporary Russian military encampment outside Belgorod, in Russia’s village of Krasny Oktyabr, about 40 miles from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, said the Russian state-run news agency Tass.
Regional Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov said there were no casualties, but an emergency service worker told Tass that 4 Russian soldiers were injured.
Video posted online from two local Belgorod news outlets appeared to show ammunition blowing up, but the source of the explosion could not be immediately confirmed outside of Tass.
If verified, the strike would apparently be the first that struck a military target inside Russia and wounded soldiers. Last week, Tass said two men were hurt when a shell from Ukraine exploded in the same area.

Hopefully it dropped right in the middle of some Chechen mercenaries.
Interesting, if true.
“Krasny Oktyabr”
Red October?
My cousin in Alchevsk in the Donbas, said that their long unused college/institute dormitories are full of Chechen soldiers. They speak neither Russian nor Ukrainian. But it does show the continuous Russian effort to deUkainify the eastern provinces.
“if true”, which is highly unlikely. Are you monitoring the progress of the peace talks? The western media masters do a great job squelching any positives coming out of them. They are proceeding at relative break neck pace with Russia beginning to militarily deescalate. And this would be the perfect time for Ukraine to start escalating? More BS western disinfo.
The Russians aren’t denying the explosion (they really couldn’t as the plume could be seen from miles around), but are claiming it was an accident at the camp not a Ukrainian missile attack.
If you go to the ISS intl space station live feed, the Russian cosmonauts are flying the Ukraine flag.

They cannot come back to mother Russia without being punished after this.
They “should” be, given they are traitors to their nation.

Maybe they're just 'grandstanding' like Colin Kaepernick, hoping to get million dollar contracts with Nike or some other 'woke' corporation. Of course, to cash in they might have to land some place beyond Putin's control...
;>)
any idea of how many?
Link? All I found are exterior views.
No, she didn’t venture a guess on total numbers. The civilians have to tread carefully and cannot study their own town too carefully. Alchevsk is a 35 minute drive from the larger town of Lugansk.
The American who has been out there for around a year is on his way back. We were afraid for a while he might not be treated well.

What is your explanation of the Belgorod explosions? Russia has admitted them, and is blaming Ukraine. Ukraine has been silent about them (unless something has come up within the last few hours). So, it can be a Russian false flag operation, or Ukraine did strike, or there were some clumsy people at the site and accidentally set off the blast. You tell me.
