WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday submitted a $5.79 trillion budget plan to Congress that calls for record peacetime military spending and further aid for Ukraine, while raising taxes for billionaires and companies and lowering government deficits.

Biden told reporters his administration is “making real headway cleaning up the fiscal mess I inherited”, and will reduce the federal deficit by more than $1.3 trillion this year with $1 trillion in further cuts planned over the next decade.

“For most Americans the last few years were very hard, stretching them to the breaking point. But billionaires and large corporations got richer than ever,” he said, adding, “That’s not fair … Just pay your fair share.”

Let’s face it. I do believe it is safe to say that 2020 was indeed a fiscal mess.

Some of what was done, needed to be done. Other parts of it were not needed.

How I saw it as a small business owner, the government shutdowns were a bad deal. But, I was grateful for any of the bailout/loans/grants that were available. Many Independent Contractors were grateful for PUA, when they did not qualify for the other assistance.

Why personages who were already getting government assistance, needed to get more of it is beyond me? Life radically changed for the working person, but for others it was a monetary windfall they were not really eligible to receive.

While congress created and passed this spending, President Trump did sign it at the time. Could one imagine the outcry if he had not? The other part of this “fiscal mess” was indeed the Biden administration dragging such spending out way longer than necessary.

And the other half of all this? The American people at large. From refusing to work to base wage hikes failing to understand it triggered the inflation we see today.

Fiscal mess? This man is delusional. Things were incredible right before the pandemic. Folks were as happy as theyve ever been.

We are past the tipping point. The Democrats can say any kind of stupidity, their “press” will parrot it, and the American people will eat it up.

Government of the Stupid, by the Stupid and for the Stupid.

Up is Down, Black is White. That prosperity you enjoyed 3 years ago wasn’t as you remember it. So say the Democrats.

The wealthy always pass their taxes down to the little guy in the form of increasing prices for goods and services and btw corporations do not ever pay taxes. Corporations pass their taxes down to everyone purchasing their products and services. Politicians always use the lie of taxing the wealthy and corporations. Politicians ruse a whole heap and plenty

Jo Jo the Pedophile is a liar. I was doing good while President Trump was in office. My life went downhill after Jo Jo rose to powah and started signing anything his young Snowflake staff put before him. The “mess” is Jo Jo’s “mess”. Don’t go blaming President Trump for YOUR screwups Jo Jo.

Lets cut this Ukraine money. Why are we giving them money? So Biden can get kickbacks for RATs?

America is dead and we can thank those greedy and corrupt bastards in DC. They ruin OUR country and every country they stick their filthy meddling fingers into.

We have no peace anywhere any more and it isn’t the citizens causing it. It is the Government.

RE: Biden Says Budget Targets Trump’s ‘Fiscal Mess,’ Raises Taxes On Wealthy

Oh yeah, that ought to work out real well.
Once they define “Wealth”, the wealthy will simply move elsewhere. Or buy themselves enough members of congress to create loopholes, then said congress critters can campaign against ‘loopholes’ in the next election. A vicious circle that always leads to higher taxes on the ever shrinking middle class.

This has been the Democrat playbook for over a century and damned if the American voter doesn’t still fall for it.

The absolute lie of taxing the wealthy who on paper have little while their "foundations" control billions - including a fictitious charity for Beau Biden.

When Democrats screw up the economy by overspending they always start proposing their “tax the rich” scheme.

Trumps fiscal mess. That’s funny. Biden’s party was responsible for this fiscal mess. Biden was in the senate for 40 years, he owns it.

But billionaires and large corporations got richer than ever,” he said, adding, “That’s not fair … Just pay your fair share.”

Other things being equal, significant increases in the money supply leads to increases in aggregate profits, so the rich get richer. If you don't want the rich to get richer, stop creating money out of thin air.

HOW many employees does Elon Musk sign paychecks for?

He paid over 11 BILLION in taxes last year.

IF he suspended operations for 5 years & just did his own R & D, THEN WHAT???
