I did not know the Oscar’s gala was a Don King Production?
You know if this had happened in any other situation (assuming this whole thing wasn’t staged) that the person who assaulted the other person, regardless of their justifications for it would have been promptly escorted from the building at the very least.....
Rock’s joke was in poor taste, and (if this was legit and not just another staged moment) Smith’s actions are understandable, though not excusable. If I were at an awards dinner, and someone made a joke about my wife’s hair, and upset her, and I slapped him... I would fully expect to be escorted out by security, at the very least.
Now, I didn’t watch it, so I have no idea if Mr Smith’s profanities got broadcast, but if they did, then every single ABC affiliate in eastern, central and mountain timezones (I believe it was broadcast live in all of those time zones) will be facing a $200,000 fine (its a 100k fine per utterance of the word he said.)... not ABC corporate, EVERY SINGLE AFFILIATE WHO BROADCAST IT would be facing their own individual fines.
I think it could be that Chris Rock had a Joe Biden “stand up Chuck” moment.
It’s not like she was wearing a “I have alopecia, don’t make fun of me” sign.
So now “Toxic Masculinity” is “Showing Strength”.
I can’t keep up with these people.
Sounds like she needs a psychiatrist and a clergyman, and he needs anger management therapy.
Trauma at early ages and into the teenage years can have lasting, negative mental effects. Will is trying to keep some semblance of his life together, but the psycho makes it very difficult. The damage will not stop, Will can’t fix it, she doesn’t care because she’s damaged.
Let it go dude. You worked hard, she played around alot, and the law sez the husband pays. I don’t necessarily agree with that especially if the adulteress keeps her liaisons private and over a long period of time. But... women have rights and little shared responsibility in these situations.
“Of all the rampaging beasts in the world... I hate sluts the worst.” (anonymous)
There is a difference.
I kinda wonder about that too.
Smith just did what any Neanderthal worth his salt would have done. Gotta love that “toxic masculinity”.
I would be curious to hear what the real Richard Williams thought about this slap to the William’s family reputation association to this insult.
😂
“It was a wimpy “bitch slap”, not a “punch’ or a “sock”
It was meant to be a wimpy bitch slap, cuz Rock IS a bitch.
then they should be more specific, many men suffers from general Alopecia according to NIH
The episode showed Chris Rock has a lot of class maintaining his composure and professionalism, but Will Smith showed you can take the boy out of the ghetto but you cannot take the ghetto out of the boy.
*snicker*
This!
If the King Richard story was about a father raising two black male athletes the film would never have been made. The William’s family story gets lost in this media narrative. Black Women deserve better.
She doesn’t advocate violence while advocating violence.
That’s asking a lot of 21st century American entertainment media.
The people who believe any of this sh*t are the same people who fret over global warming/climate change and who cast multiple ballots for the current president.
I’m not much of a Chris Rock fan so that was one of the high points of the evening.
