I saw close up picture3s of Jada from that night. Hair is definitely short, but I didn’t see any bald spots. Looks like she had eyebrows too. Does she really have alopecia?
I dated a nurse with alopecia back in the 70s. Nice lady, had a working wig collection and liked the fact that she didn’t have to waste time shaving.
I’d be willing to date someone with alopecia. Because they likely will be willing to wear wigs. And if they are willing to wear wigs, then it’s only a short hop to wearing a variety of wigs.

Yes, that aspect of things struck me too.
We have this event with Will Smith and Chris Rock, and then, later in the evening, who just happens to win an Oscar? Will Smith then returns to the stage to give his tearful speech.
How many viewers stayed tuned to see if Will Smith would win the Oscar? And then were all ears to see what he had to say, in light of what happened earlier in the evening?
I think it was staged.

She wasn’t being physically assaulted or attacked. His reaction to a joke was over the top.
I agree with this group’s position. It’s much better to avert your eyes, never speak of it but in hushed terms reserved for the terminally ill, then to allow a few jokes about it that might reflect the reality that we all have troubles to deal with. I mean it’s time we all stop those those cruel insults like white men can’t jump, take my wife please, and stuff about special snowflakes. I wanna slap somebody!
