Responding to a Twitter user’s question on whether he would consider building a social media platform consisting of an open-source algorithm that prioritises free speech, the Tesla Inc CEO said, he is “giving serious thought” to the idea.

Musk’s tweet comes a day after he put out a Twitter poll asking users if they believed Twitter adheres to the principle of free speech, to which over 70% voted “no”. On Saturday, Musk, who is himself a prolific user of Twitter, critisied the social media platform and said the company is undermining democracy by failing to adhere to free speech principles.

I hope so. If Truth Social ever does get up and running, the DC regulators and hack federal judges will TRO it into silence. It will be a huge battle to keep Trump incommunicado.

Of course state controlled media blasted away that TruthSocial's launch was a disaster, what would they be expected to say?
Truth Social works really well. They are letting people in slowly to keep it stable, fix bugs and keep out bots.
Twitter is such a cesspool.

what’s really amazing is that TS is only on the apple app in the US, not worldwide yet. It is the ONLY tech platform that landed 1m users in 1 month. The rest took months and months. Just wait til android rolls out, which is what I’m waiting on.
Musk should just buy Twitter and reinstate all accounts banned for thoughtcrime.

They FINALLY notified me that was was ON I entered my phone got my code but the code page doesn’t work to enter the code sent, so I STILL have no idea what the site is like!! I was 107,000 on the wait list for weeks!!!

Whats amazing to me is that spacejunkie2001, for all his zeal, isn’t actually on the platform.
Another thing that is amazing to me is I, like a few million other Apple phone users, we are still on the waitlist. Tomorrow will be the 5 week anniversary since I joined the waitlist. 5 weeks. Some cling to the words of Devin Nunes from a month and a half ago where he said that by the end of March everyone will be let in. That suggests that in one week from last Friday a million + presently on the waitlist backlog plus several million new Android registrants will be on TS.
When I read the story on Fox that Elon Musk was talking about a new company to dethrone twitter I was surprised that in the story nothing was said about TS.
I hope TS is a success but it needs to get itself moving in a forward direction like this week. This isn’t about me personally being on a waitlist, it’s about us looking like a bunch of fools. TS needs to stop dangling the carrot in our faces and start producing.
