Never believed he’d go there. You know, glad he used the “F” word. Sometimes, not often but in a rare case, vulgarity hits the mark. He did that last night. He hit the mark on their climate control BS.

Hello NEVER TRUMPER. I remember you from the numerous, “Gotta get a New Candidate different than Trump” articles floating around on FR the past few weeks. Geeze he frightens you guys. Glad you stopped by to visit. Hope you learned something. We support our President. We love Donald Trump. We love the fact that he is not a politician. We love the fact that he tells it like it is with words that make a Baptist blush (but word they secretly use behind closed doors). We love the fact that he is there fighting for the country, for the people, for freedom. In fact, he’s leading that fight. And we LOVE HIM FOR IT.

If he decides to run in 24, he has my time, my money and as much additional support as I can garner. Hopefully by this time, many, many of the Never Trumpers in politics will be gone. They are far more dangerous than the general public, fair weather-I’ll vote for Trump is he’s the nominee, Never Trumpers, like yourself.

“Maybe he could start telling us something positive that he would do.”

I agree. It is time to start running for 2024 and get elected. Then after Trrump wins he can dismantle 2020 and figure out how it was stolen. BUT NOW is the time to run a new election.

Unfortunately Walker refuses to endorse Perdue. He’s all about himself. He was a great football player but he has no business running for Senate. He’s dumb as a rock, knows nothing about policy but arrogant enough to think he’s qualified. According to John Fredericks, Trump asked Walker to endorse Perdue and Walker refused. Same with Burt Jones. Walker is going to win on name recognition plus the fact that Trump is backing him. The fact that he’s not willing to lend some of his massive support (which is based on name recognition alone, not competency) to help pull Perdue over the line is outrageous.

FR is a forum for conservatives (traditionalists, free marketers, libertarians, populists, etc.).

Yes, FR is a news source and "conservative" debate forum - I love that format. But I've noticed that few people seem to know how to have a substantive debate in good faith. WAY too often the disagreement is taken down to personal affront and attack - bye bye coherent debate.

I love participating in an informed and substantive debate done with good-faith participants. I think part of the reason for the absence of sound debate is that people are no longer taught how to learn. They're given dogma and told that's it. Another reason I think is that too many on the Right are not comfortable or confident in their position and feel threatened when challenged to explain their position.

I guess I'm pretty confident in my political and spiritual positions so I invite good-faith debate because 1) it's an opportunity to promote the rationale of what's true, 2) an opportunity to expose lies, 3) onlookers can learn, and 4) I flat-out enjoy it.

Since when did this forum become a place to cancel differing opinions?

Dunno. You may have launched your comments a bit strong sounding a bit like the mindless "Never-Trumpers" that come along.

FR is now picking sides and favoring one over the other.

I don't have a problem with that as long as FR allows differing viewpoints. The problem FR encounters is people in disagreement are often there to disrupt, not to debate in good faith. I think it's hard sometimes for the mods to always tell who's a disrupter and who's actually contributing something affirmative to the discussion.

Obviously you like DeSantis. If you'll notice I gave you why I think non-politician Trump is better for us than DeSantis. So I'm willing to continue the discussion if you're willing to continue in good faith, stay on topic, and not descend into personal attacks.

However, if you are one of those dogmatic and prejudiced “Never Trumpers” I’m not interested.

No im not a never Trumper. I voted for him twice & I will again if he is the nominee. Ive stated exactly that about a hundred times in the last few years. I am neither an establishmentarian, a moderate or a half in libertarian. I am a card carrying right winger & a full blown conservative across the board on all issues.
My parents were ex military and daddy served in Vietnam. I spent 8 years as an Army wife before my husband was severely injured in Afghanistan and medically retired. We spent 2 years at Walter Reed Hospital while he recovered, but moved to Tennessee because we couldnt deal with Maryland or D.C.
We are pro life, pro faith, pro traditionalism, small government, no welfare, less immigration, no illegals, second amenment, free speech, no litter, small town American conservatives who favor the American worker. Thats the way my parents raised me. My husband is the same. Im still young but have strongly resisted the tendency of so many to liberalize
Ive never been a big fan of change. Of things are going to change, I prefer it be measured and slow, preserving the past as best possible. The last 20 years have seen revolution- not liberalism. I oppose that movement like crazy. Its irrational and against my values.
That said, I am now 40 and am finally viewing the world confident in myself and my values. I love President Trump and would gladly vote for him a third time, but I cant pretend that I think he has the best shot at winning. This nation is sooooo far down a rabbit hole that I dont think we can risk future elections. My instinct is to go with the guy closest to my conservative values that I feel stands the best shot at winning the election.
Every person goes into a political race with their own baggage. Trump had some too. What I had hoped to see our of him was learning from the past two elections, tamping down the less palatable stuff and running with his strengths. He gets bogged down in stupid, petty arguments and doesnt showcase his best qualities. Because of that, I feel DeSantis has a real shot to excel.
When I try and have an honest discussion about that here, I literally hit a wall of opposition. Honestly, the first thing I get hit with is “Never Trumper”, “John McCain type”, “Establishmentarian”. It gets old! My biggest priority is making sure ill of the conservative things we believe in triumph amongst a majority of the populace and at the ballot box. Its about far more to me than just one man.
Everyone in this site would do better to build bridges with fellow conservatives, listen to concerns and build a coalition instead of insulting and shouting others down. You may not want to see it but the most argumentative and insulting people on here are they Only Trumpers. If you voice any concern, they play tag team insulting you, calling you stupid and getting you removed. Unfortunately, FR allows it to happen.
Its not going to make me quit, but it does get old! I’d appreciate a little more debate, a little less cult of personality and for everyone to be able to talk without being shouted down. Itd be nice of FR remembered that its ultimately about conservatism, not just Trump 😉

Yep. He hired a bunch of RINO consultants who manage him very carefully. He refuses to do interviews except with media outlets he knows are going to ask him softball questions. He’s given statements in the past that indicate he’s pro-amnesty. I think Trump probably encouraged him to run because he thought Walker would follow his lead when it comes to policy, but it appears he’s chosen instead to be managed by RINO’s. The bottom line is that Walker is not a team player. I would imagine Trump is having second thoughts about endorsing him, but at this point it’s too late to change courses. Perhaps Trump’s rescinding of his Mo Brooks endorsement was a message to others not to take his endorsement for granted.

It’s actually about America, her freedoms, and the Constitution that protects them and restoring America’s Free Constitutional Republic.

Maybe you don’t get this about Trump but he is the best guy on the scene that I know of that quickly spots the issue and nails political correctness like no other. If you like many “conservatives” don’t like change, then you’re in the wrong church here anyway. BIG CHANGE needs to happen to restore America As Soon As Possible. The Totalitarian Federal Government is about to swallow América whole. Political business as usual simply won’t cut it. That’s why we love Trump.

The fact the Left is deathly afraid of him tells a lot about Trump being on the right track.

Trump gets “bogged down” in “petty arguments” like a stolen presidential election and endless Leftist attacks and attempts to impeach him. I think there are few that can withstand the withering firestorm the Left unleashes on those who mean business against their Anti-America agenda and their spirit of antichrist.

So far I haven’t seen or heard anything where DeSantis could do better or even as well. Generally a politician will wither or “go wobbly” as Thatcher used to say, against that kind of opposition.

About 80% of this posting of yours would fit nicely on your “about” page here on FR.

It would aid others to better understand your future comments.

You misunderstand. Im very much in favor of change that restores our constitution, form of government, Christian faith, strong families, strong borders, etc.
What I was referring to is all the change that leftists are pushing for: atheism, socialism, broken families, no borders, no constitutional rights, multiculturalism.
I started out in life with very traditional Christian values. Im not a fan of the changes being pushed by lefties that threaten those values and traditions and our American constitution and way of life.
I never grouped the stolen election as a petty issue either. I very much favor that he fought against that. He told the truth. Im talking about all the Twitter fights, name calling & fighting every battle.
I think he should pick his battles, avoid Tweeting about most stuff & not allow others to bait him into arguments. I get that he’s getting hit from all sides & I love that we finally have a guy that fights back.
I just wanted him to improve, become stronger, expect the unexpected, learn that sometimes less is more and share the spotlight a little more. Those are constructive criticisms.
At the end of the day, ill still gladly vote for him & fly my Trump flag. But sooner our later, we need a much bigger bench than just Trump. We also need a movement that isnt about Trump. One that will last for decades after Trump is gone. Thats all

Well redheadedshannon, based on your last reply here, I’d say you’ve missed the mark on you previous posts possibly giving others the wrong impression.

Emphasize the objectives you desire to see like the restoration of America’s Free Constitutional Republic, and don’t get too entangled about relatively minor things you don’t like about those who basically share the same values and desires - that’s Satan’s work. And try not to nit-pick the small stuff the way the Left does, losing sight of the big picture.

I believe Trump is God’s man for this hour. Does that mean that I worship him? No, and I disagree with him about certain things. But he is like a breath of fresh air. The array of Leftist opposition, fueled by the very spirit of antichrist, is vast and ghastly. It will take more than any one man or even all of us to restore our beloved country and its values, and freedoms. It will take the Divine Providence of Almighty God. I’m not at all sure that’s not exactly that what’s He going to do.

We also need to trust in God, not in man. But someone has to lead the charge, and Trump is doing is better than anyone else that I can see. I don’t even think Trump himself knows how he’s gotten through the relentless four-to-six-year firestorm from the Left. And right there is an acknowledgement of a Higher Power at work on his and our behalf.

And Trump skewers the Left and hits the nail on the head better than pretty much anyone I’ve seen on the national stage. As Trump says, they are NOT coming after Trump - he’s just the figurehead. They’re coming after you and I. It’s good to remember that what ever they do to Trump is exactly what they’d do to us Patriots given the chance.

And don’t get caught up too much in “conservatism” because that is vague and sometimes even a self-defeating idea. (When Milton Friedman, the champion of individual freedom, was on William Buckley’s show, Buckley seemed a flummoxed by Friedman’s sharp arguments for freedom against government coercion. Buckley, the founder of the “Conservative Movement”, was more interested in keeping things as they were, whereas Friedman had a goal in mind: individual freedom which requires the RIGHT CHANGES - namely LESS GOVERNMENT.)

We don’t need the tyranny of the status quo. We need the RIGHT changes. Less government and a reinstatement of the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land. May God help us to get there.

Right now I think it’s Trump leading the way. I pray God will raise up another in 2028. If he loves our country and this world, I think he will. God is not yet done with this world (Luke 14:22-23) which is why he will uphold America for now because as America goes, so goes the world. America is the only physical thing on earth between sanity and utter worldwide desolation.

Also, “movements” and “parties” can get in the way of what we really need, because too often things like “conservatism’ or a political party soon become more interested in its own future than the future of America and it’s beloved Constitution for which these things were supposedly founded.

That’s why I think aligning ourselves as a Patriots is the best thing we can do politically. And fasten our seatbelts.
