A New Jersey university is launching what it called the world's first "Master of Arts in Happiness Studies."
Centenary University's program will "explore the implications of happiness for individuals, the workplace, and our broader society," according to the college's announcement. It's set to launch virtually in the fall and will cost students $17,700.
"Whatever profession you identify, there is a place – a very important place for happiness studies – for the science of well-being," Tal Ben Shahar, a happiness expert and the director of the program, told Fox News.

18 grand?? The only one’s I can see being happy is Centenary suckering people to pay for this.
This is a “completion certificate” for a hobby, not a degree for an academic course. Nothing more.
A Masters in Happiness from a “skool” that provides the degree of “mastercation” needed to produce MASS MISERY!

A Masters in Happiness studies gets you a job working at the counter in a marijuana store. A doctorate in Gender Studies gets you a job working the fryer in a burger joint.

I did a really quick check of his books. Seems like the gist of what he’s saying is that chasing perfection can lead to UN-happiness, basically that perfection is the enemy of the good, or simply, that good enough is good enough.
The other message is to have a sense of gratitude every day for what you have.
I agree with both sentiments, but I don’t think you need a university degree to learn that.
