Utah’s Republican lawmakers voted Friday to override GOP Gov. Spencer Cox’s veto of legislation banning transgender youth athletes from playing on girls teams.
Cox’s veto letter drew national attention with a poignant argument that such laws target vulnerable transgender kids who are already at high risk of suicide.
Cox was the second GOP governor this week to overrule state lawmakers on a sports-participation ban amid a nationwide culture war over transgender issues. Business leaders in Utah are also concerned about backlash and lost revenue.

Why are some R govs vetoing this legislation?
Some have said they fear lawsuits. I think some are more afraid of what the NY Times and MSNBC talking heads will say about them.
There are too many other ways to see it and that is the problem. The media is framing and crafting the narrative and I don’t see any push back as conservatives probably control very little of popular media. There needs to be a counterpart to pedophiliac media like Disney.
Because they sold out to the Socialist Left for advantage and power.

Have three competition classes Male Female and Transgender.

I think the language used creates false narratives.
The liberal view is that these laws are “banning” people from participating in sports.
This is not true.
These laws are mandating that one compete in sports based on one’s biological sex. Nobody is being discriminated against.
But the liberals have decided that these are “banning” the allegedly oppressed “transsexual” people from sports. Nobody is being banned from anything. These laws are not discriminatory. But the liberals are presenting it as some attack on “LGBT” people’s civil rights.
It is a false narrative, and should get pushback.

You know, I never was all that good at sportsball, so I joined they marching band, concert band, and symphonic band. I became a first chair in all of them. I also graduated valedictorian.
Of course they probably don't have "first chairs" or "valedictorians" anymore.
That ‘business leaders concerned’ thing got me too. No names, just nebulous claims.
There is no way the establishment would permit a conservative to purchase a major media outlet, nbc for example.
Maybe elon musk could start a major satellite network.

Now if only the weak kneed politicians in Indiana would hurry up and do the same thing, but they won’t vote on overriding Holcomb’s veto for a couple of months. I smell trouble.
