Russian troops reportedly attacked their own commanding officer by running him over with a tank after many in their brigade were killed amid the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsymbaliuk said in a post on Facebook that Russian Col. Yuri Medvedev was attacked after fighting in Ukraine left nearly half of the men in the 37th Motor Rifle Brigade dead, The Washington Post reported.

Assuming it was true these troop better ask for asylum in Ukraine. I don’t think Putin would be welcoming them home. More like bombing them, accidentally.
Pretty much the entirety of western war reporting consists of printing as news the tweets of a handful of Ukrainian bluecheck Twitter accounts. No further verification necessary.

This report was discussed on a thread posted yesterday where it appears the 37th Motorized Rifle Brigade is part of the Uzbekistan army and the Uzbek government has declared neutrality in this conflict. Also I have what might be a dumb question but the report said the commander was run over by a tank from the brigade. Would a rifle brigade also have tanks?
