I think this is the reason why the definition that I tried to paraphrase refers to gametes and not chromosomes.

Like the article says “they have a womb, so with appropriate hormone treatment and fertilized egg implantation they can actually become pregnant and give birth”.

So they don’t actually have egg cells of their own, but it certainly is trickier because they do have a womb.

I think these people have had an accident at birth and are not at fault.

On the other hand the a-hole activists largely don’t have had such accident and are just bullshitting.

I don’t know what is right here.

In contrast I think the UPenn swimmer “Lia Thomas” doesn’t have a womb. I think he is just a man pretending to be a woman.

Yes, he was ranked only ~400 in college in the men’s category, but that still likely means he was a top athlete in his high school and I think these poor people your article describes wouldn’t be top male athletes even at high school level, because they grow up with woman’s body.
