Russian supplies will last 'no more than three days': Putin's men are running out of food, ammunition and fuel, Ukraine says, as attacks on Mariupol fail and offensives elsewhere are 'largely stalled'

Except that it aligns with real people on the ground in Ukraine... who have already had entire platoons (whatever term the Russians use) walk up haggard, hungry, dehydrated, and without much of their equipment... surrendering to unarmed civilians for food/water.

“Russian missiles are flying uncontested on the battlefield—it makes you wonder whether we could shoot any of them down when it really counted”

Some are being shot down. Those are the ones that hti unintended civilian targets.

Russia is not bombing indiscriminately. Their missiles are being taken out.

They had a lot of weapons - but didn’t expect this to last almost a month (so far). Putin banked on storming in, scaring people and forcing Zelensky to flee. None of that happened. Putin was hoping his young and not-so-well trained military would “shock and awe” their way to quick victory by throwing everything they had stockpiled for the invasion at Ukraine. Didn’t work.

So Putin is hoping to pummel civilians into submission and that they will force Zelensky out. Terrorism is Putin’s weapon now - artillery, rockets, phosphorous bombs, etc. targeting schools, hospitals, bomb shelters, and thousands of civilian homes and apartment buildings.

So the war is over in 3 days and Putin will travel to a battleship in the Black Sea to sign Russia’s surrender?

Your points are spot on. I was trying to avoid writing a book. Sometimes the words just flow from my finger tips and lose their effectiveness. Missile defense is the tough nut to crack. Border defense on the other hand is pretty simple in my estimation. I am of the mind set that we need to brutal for about two to three days at the border and the illegal immigration will stop. We go after the cartels and completely destroy them. In the process there will be collateral damage since the cartels are using civilians as part of their trade. The death of civilians is exactly what will cause the illegal immigration to cease. I know logically that the inadvertent short-term deaths of civilians will save many lives. That's a trade off I'd willing to make, but I doubt most of America would. However, Americans would forget about it by the next news cycle.

It would be a short war, and in every war the lives of innocents are taken. That is a fact about war that will never change so people need to accept it.

“This war would never have happened if Trump was President.”

There ya have it. And many would suspect that most on this site are actually paid to come on here and push this for the Biden administration.

Deflections work that way.

GO HONEY BADGERS! BOOYAH!

Ok, got that out of the way but in the spirit of bipartisanship, can we all just simply stop fighting for a minute and agree that it would be nice to see Putin’s head on a spike before the Cheery blossoms are in full bloom on the Potomac?

“Missile defense is the tough nut to crack.”

It is the elephant in the room—that nobody wants to talk about...

Offensive missile technology has outstripped defensive technology—that is why the war against Russia talk is extremely irresponsible—and both parties are totally insane on this topic imho.

Seems WWIII is economic warfare. Physical goods and backed currency will survive, fiat currency and fractional reserve banking may be the casualties.

if that’s the case, then we’re screwed

Well lets leave that up to the Russian people. Most don’t really want to live in a 2nd world country while their leadership and elites rape the country financially.

“Logistics is not the strong suit of the Russian army. If somehow the Ukrainians were able to disrupt the Russian Navy’s ability to land troops and supplies from the Black Sea into southeastern Ukraine, the Russian position in Ukraine would be untenable.”

Logistics have NEVER been a strong suit of the Russian military. Russia’s strategy is to intimidate and threaten, and bluff; if those don’t work, their credibility is suspect and they are pretty much forced to move in physically, and they are not prepared for that because they never PREPARED for that eventuality. Russia’s military adventures are more often than not “Oh, shit!” moments.

There is no truth in what the current administration and MSM establishment and social media are portraying, IMO.

My cue is that when I find myself on the same side as Bill Kristol, Graham, McConnell or any of the other neocon RINOs begging for war for their MIC, I tune out and oppose.

“Putinist Russia is taking horrific and unsustainable loses in Ukraine.”

I don’t know if their losses are “horrific and unsustainable,” but they sure as hell were unexpected by Putin. Ukraine is putting up a hell of a fight, which is more laudable given that they are grossly out-gunned.

“Confused. Just this morning Mariupol was rubble. Now it risen from it ashes?”

No; what happened was that Ukrainian defenders crawled out from the rubble to fight those who invaded their home and country.
