LONDON (Reuters) - Russia said on Monday it had used high-precision long-range rockets on a shopping centre which the Russian military said was being used as a weapons store by Ukrainian forces.
Shelling hit a Kyiv shopping centre late on Sunday, killing at least eight people, wrecking nearby buildings and leaving smoking piles of rubble and the twisted wreckage of burned-out cars spread over several hundred metres.
"The areas near the shopping centre were used as a large base for storing rocket munitions and for reloading multiple rocket launchers," Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told reporters.
"High-precision long-range weapons on the night of March 21 destroyed a battery of Ukrainian multiple rocket launchers and a store of ammunition in a non-functioning shopping center," he said.

Watch the video posted above. They tracked a MLRS coming to the underground parking. There are photos of multiple army trucks in the parking.
Funny the russian vid shows only truck mounted launchers driving around somewimes stopping and firing, but none stopped at the shopping center to buy a reload.
Strange that the rocket hit did not show the numerous secondary explosions present when any munition storage is hit.

Ukraine probably did have rocket artillery hidden in the parking lot, that makes it a legit target, which is fine. Doesn’t really undo all the other stuff the red army has been doing.

Modern warfare with it's information operations, use of civilians as shields, guerrilla warfare, is nasty.

Not at all.
The use of civilians or protected sites as shields is common place.
In fact, it’s something that you practice and plan for (as a military) because it is that common.
Use of shrines, places of worship, hospitals, schools, kinder gartens, universities or residential areas as a shield is common.
It is none of Russia’s damn business where Ukraine stores its weapons or anything else! Russia doesn’t get to invade a neighbor and then tell them how they can defend themselves. Anyone defending anything Putin says or does is no better than Putin himself!

Common for Palestinian Jihadis, ISIS, Iraqis and Ukrainians.
I know of no other examples.

It shows Ukraine has zero regard for the lives of its citizens. Imagine if the US stored weapons in children’s hospitals or nursing homes. A civilized society does everything it can to minimize human loses and part of that is keeping your military resources far away from civilian areas.
