House Republicans are calling for President Joe Biden to provide military aircraft to Ukraine, so they can establish a no-fly zone on their own. In a press conference after hearing from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Wednesday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said their is bipartisan support for sending fighter jets to Ukraine.
McCarthy and Republicans also praised Zelensky and the Ukrainian people while highlighting their resistance to Russian aggression. GOP lawmakers called for Biden to impose more sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime.
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) also spoke, calling on Biden to step up and take away Putins leverage on energy while suggesting he should open the nation’s oil reserves.

“Anyone else wonder about Ukraine?”
I do. I’d like to know more, but with all the poor, poor pitiful Ukraine stories, we can’t seem to find out the truth.
We should reinstate the draft. For politicians only.
Chicken Hawks will chicken hawk.🙄
Biden’s Castrated Military!

Geez, these idiots are TRYING to lose the 2022 midterms.
McCarthy must be another Bush league “Republican”.
Agree. Personally what changed my outlook was Syria. Seeing McCain prostrate himself before ISIS finally caused me to reject the nation building wing of the GOP. Syria was a globalist dream. It allowed for the mass immigration of millions of non-Syrian and Syrian fanatics into the West. Hillary was itching for war to oust Assad. At that same time the Ukraine was working to keep Trump from becoming POTUS. So let’s call Trump a Russianphile and mobilize support from the chicken hawk wing of the Republican party, which Hillary got with McCain and Romney.
It’s the American people, Republicans and Democrats. Your influence in American politics is dead now. Get lost.
Trump will never support you again. Forget it. Your influence in America is done.
It's your two-week anniversary on Saturday. Whoo-hoo!
WHAT???!!!?
McCarthy MUST go!!!
Calling my guy now...Waltz. Bet he’s in on it.
Ukraine was front and center in Trump’s 2nd impeachment! And are as evil and corrupt as Russia. Probably more so.
Burisma/Biden, anyone???
Supposedly Poland gives us the MiGs, which we then bring to the Ukrainians.
And with the pilot’s hand on their ejection seat.
“And the question is: who’s gonna fly these sophisticated birds”
perhaps the better question is; what air facility are these aircraft going to use. Unless Russians are asleep at the stick, suitable runways and roads have been cratered.
If they get what they keep pushing for they might be at Ground Zero for the first war-time nuclear explosion since Nagasaki. Or one of the first anyway.
No more war!
“No more war!”
We need to secure our southern border. We are being invaded.
Russia doesn’t want a massive arms buildup by the West at this moment. Zerg rushing Ukraine with their top units and smashing it Iraq style would have caused that, and caused nations like Poland, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan to build their own nuclear weapons and delivery systems.
“I still haven’t decided which criminal enterprise to be for/against, Russia’s or Ukraine’s.”
I think I’m more for Ukraine, but only because it’s their citizenry who are getting the brunt of it all. Everyday Russians who want no part of this are getting shafted, too, they just aren’t under threat of getting bombed or shelled.
In the deeper reality, I’m all in favor of an immediate cessation of hostilities, and mandatory, unbroken diplomatic negotiation for as long as it takes to work out a peaceful, solution. Get the heads of state, unarmed, into a hotel suite someplace in the tropics with no air conditioning with noting but pizza and bottled water available, and NOBODY LEAVES until this is solved.
