Still going to be arrested for assault. Might beat the rap in a jury trial, but you ‘won’t beat the ride’. I guess it all depends on how sympathetic the local D.A. is to criminals. Lakewood is L.A. county so you’d get no mercy.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lakewood substation is located two blocks south of Clark and Chandler.

The Home Depot in the Lakewood Center and across the street from the substation was a victim of a mob shoplifting last year.

The LASD and the sheriff acts tough but they have been rendered toothless.
