VIDEO – California Neighbors Say Violent Vandals Terrorizing Area: “Looks Like ‘The Purge'”

Neighbors in Lakewood, California, are deeply concerned after being targeted repeatedly by a group of violent vandals, and one person likened the incidents to a horror movie.

Community members have brought the matter before city leaders. One of the incidents was recorded, thanks to a neighbor’s doorbell video, Fox 11 reported Tuesday.

The news came as crime and the homelessness issue were named among the main concerns for California voters; however, Democrats reportedly failed to address the problems during their recent statewide convention.

The clip showed a pair of vehicles stop near a home at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Candlewood Street when six individuals carrying crowbars and bats emerged.

“They immediately start smashing the front left end of the sedan in a woman’s driveway. The woman who lives at the home said she believes they were targeting her catalytic converter,” the Fox report stated.

Although she pounded on her window in an attempt to stop the group, they continued damaging her vehicle. The group then appeared to break the windows and mirrors of her car before making their getaway.

In December, California Democrats began saying the crime surge in the state must end, admitting police officers were needed to remedy the problem, Breitbart News reported.

Per the recent incident, one neighbor said his home was targeted several times and expressed his frustration.

“I have seven instances just outside my house. Myself and all my neighbors are getting pretty tired of it,” he explained to Lakewood City councilmembers.

“I don’t know how to get the word out more. It really seems to me like more people need to see this video. I’ve had more people tell me that the video looks like ‘The Purge.’ It’s disturbing. I have neighbors with children,” he added.

When that movie came out.. i watched the previews and called it what it is.. the Overton Window. It was intentionally created to inspire these acts.

It’s not just in Lakewood. The catalytic converter guys take a short time to smash and saw and get what they want. That element is more pricy than gold.

"That element is more pricy than gold."

Yes.

One must 'break & enter' to get to my vehicles though.

There are many easier targets than mine and that is the plan.

Since i moved here I bought an older SUV Tracker since I park on the street in town. Works for all I need to travel here in town and on long trips just rent a vehicle.

Though not often cars get taken here I wanted the piece of mind there’s nothing they want in this SUV. Plus my front door is a sidewalk width from my vehicle. So that’s a great advantage.

Tell me about it. It’s like here in NYC, the idiots vote for taxes through the roof, an increase in crime, illegals flooding the city, no bail for criminals, defunding the Police, AOC, Cuomo, DeBlasio, Schumer, and when it bites them in the ass they complain! Yet every election they vote for the same thing! Can we for ONCE have a journalist ask these people WHY they are complaining when they elected to have it?

I live among Mennonites.

They are so productive that you could open a business using the free waste streams they produce.

They don't steal...anything.

It should be legal to defend private property. Otherwise, these Mau Mau attacks cannot be deterred.

California Democrats began saying the crime surge in the state must end

In that case, you DUmmies, give kalifornians the right to exercise lethal force to protect life and property. Here in Oklahoma, we can use lethal force to protect life (castle doctrine; stand your ground laws), but not our vehicle in the driveway, and that's the fault of our state govt.

But they can do so in Louisiana, and that should be a nationwide prerogative. Just like it should be a nationwide prerogative that law abiding citizens should be able to own, and carry, any type of firearm they desire.

I’d love to hear a city official tell the residents to arm themselves and fight back. But it’s California so I don’t expect it.

democrats want more of this kind of thing. They cheer when the “oppressed” waltz right in and take what is “rightfully” theirs from their “oppressors.”

“I don’t know how to get the word out more.”

How about:
A focus group ?
Meetings to “raise awareness”?
A #hashtag campaign!

Propose a meeting with the city council, to schedule a meeting.

Containing a commitment to schedule a meeting calling for a (non binding) vote to call for a (non binding) resolution to hold hearings to discuss and debate the issue.

Once that debate is concluded. They can then vote to schedule a meeting to discuss that resolution and schedule a meeting to discuss possible options.....

lather, rise, repeat...

Maybe they voted for the New Law and Order Party…
…crime and the homelessness issue were named among the main concerns for California voters; however, Democrats reportedly failed to address the problems during their recent statewide convention.

In December, California Democrats began saying the crime surge in the state must end, admitting police officers were needed to remedy the problem

Does “California Democrats” mean voters? Or politicians?
