About 50 miles from Ukraine at an airport in Eastern Poland, a major show of American force is designed to deter Russian aggression. The U.S. has deployed two Patriot missile batteries, which are among the most sophisticated air defense systems in the world.
"All of these missiles are designed to defeat tactical ballistic missiles, designed to defeat cruise-type missiles, as well as aircraft," said the battery commander, who CBS News was asked not to name for security reasons.
The airport in Eastern Poland is also used as a way station for weapons going to Ukraine. On Tuesday, what appeared to be a convoy of trucks left the airport heading for the border.

I thought the Patriot batteries were operated by the Army. But, I could be wrong.
They are Army.
I knew a guy at work who was an Army technician on Patriots in Iraq War 1. Had some great skills and great stories to tell.
You know when they should have built up forces along Ukraines border?

They try to puff up the article by going all secret spook about the exact location of the airport in eastern Poland as if the whole world does not already know it is Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. There are photos of the Patriot launchers there on Twitter and air traffic hobbyists have been watching the Western airlift into there. There is absolutely nothing hidden about it, and it could well be Russia’s next target. We shall see
