(CNN) A New York woman was punched more than 125 times in the head and face and stomped on seven times by a man who had allegedly called her an "Asian b*tch," the Yonkers Police Department said in a news release Monday.
The victim, a 67-year-old Asian woman, was returning home Friday evening when she saw the suspect, whom police identified as Tammel Esco, 42, in front of her building. Esco allegedly used the racial slur as she passed him, police said in the release. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of people in the US have been victims of anti-Asian incidents, from verbal abuse to physical attacks.

14 previous arrests, half of them felonies. That means at least 7 felony arrests. So how many of those felony arrests was he convicted of? Let me guess...few to none, because he was probably allowed to plea to a lesser charge each time so the D.A. wouldn’t have to pursue his multiple felonies under New York State’s Three Strikes Law. Nobody does the time for the crime they actually commit anymore. It’s been that way for a very long time.
Liberal D.A.’s are too lazy to do their freaking jobs, which is to protect the innocent people in their cities from violent offenders like this guy. They pick up their paycheck each week as if they actually earned it, all the while allowing these felony criminals back out on the street, simply because they can’t be bothered to pursue the laws that are on the books.
I’ve been in favor of Judges, D.A.’s, and State Attorney Generals being held criminally, and monetarily responsible for their putting these monsters back out on the street. They have as much blood on their hands as the perpetrator does, and they need to be held accountable for it.
There’s enough rage in that man to last him three lifetimes.
That sounds like a pretty good sentence.
