Maybe — maybe not. Maybe it will boost their economy along with that of China, India, and a host of other countries who will link up to stick it to the U.S. — and tell the U.S. to stick our sanctions up our backside.

Maybe, too, the US reaction will take 50 years off of our progress and the progress of the west when our economy tanks. When only fools will keep their money/reserves in U.S. banks and in dollars only waiting to be seized like some hick, small-town sheriff, and their asset forfeiture schemes. Wonder who’s next. It could be you or me that gives up our assets to a government scheme. It happens every day.

Thank you Xiden and Europe/NATO. Smart. Real smart. Learn which bear to poke.

From Russia with love. https://bit.ly/3t7jxDy

Somebody else crossing a red line that you had no right to draw in the first place doesn't constitute being the legitimately provoked. Way back in 1994, Russia promised in writing to respect the borders of ukraine, and to not use any coercion, economic or otherwise, to try to interfere with Ukraine's decisions as a sovereign state. In exchange for this written promise, Ukraine agreed to give up its nuclear warheads.

Russia unilaterally breached that promise in 2014. Following that breach, Ukraine had the same legitimate right as any other sovereign state to join alliances in self-defense.

The claim that Russia justifiably feared being invaded by Ukraine is so ridiculous that only a moron or Putin stooge could possibly believe it.

Excuse me Chin, it was the combined power of the 30 NATO nations, and the continued overture of membership to the Ukraine from Obama/Biden, Biden/Harris that provoked Putin. Now please, take all the Neocon Nonsense and sell it elsewhere. We are #MAGA. We put America First.

I seriously doubt it. The price of oil has gone way way up. Russia has lots of oil and gas.

The London Metals Exchange had to shut down trading of Nickel today. The price has exploded. I wonder who the largest supplier of Nickel in the world is.

Food prices are going up and up all over the world. Russia is a grain exporter.

Russia also exports timber and potash for fertilizer and other metals, and other raw materials. If Europe and the US don’t want to buy them, rest assured China and India and lots of others will.

What exactly was Putin afraid of?? That the very same NATO he knew was unwilling to help defend Ukraine was actually willing to invade Russia itself?? That's absurd.

Who knew that NATO was no threat to invade Russia. His own confidence in invading Ukraine shows that. He also knows that Russia has nuclear weapons, and that the rest of the world knows that Russia would use those nukes before permitting itself to be conquered.

The countries that truly had legitimate reason to be concerned that they would be invaded were those smaller nations that had been invaded by Russia in the past. Hungary, Poland, the Baltic states, Ukraine, etc., all of whom lacked nuclear weapons or any other means to deter Russian aggression by themselves.

It is Russia's own invasion of Ukraine that proved conclusively that her smaller neighbors to the west were entirely justified in seeking to join a defensive alliance for self-protection.

Putin’s unprovoked war on Ukraine and the resulting global response will set Russia’s economy back by at least 30 years....

It will be bad for them.

Have money in the russian stock market? All gone. Life savings or retirement? Bummer!

Can’t get your rubles out of the bank? They’re only worth half now anyway. If you kept them under the mattress you can still try to spend them on whatever’s left out there.

Did you have a nice job working for a western company? All gone. Try to find a job now in a country headed for a 1930’s depression.

That’s the tip of the iceberg. russia will be like venezuela before too long.

But like fellow thug maduro, putin will hang on and drag his country down with him.

the very same NATO he knew was unwilling to help defend Ukraine was actually willing to invade Russia itself??

Under Article 5 of the NATO charter, any border excursion by the Ukraine would necessitate a full military response by all 30 member nations. So when you stumble around for talking points to justify Biden's Neocon meddling in Europe, you miss the "sphere of influence" argument every world power has abided by since the end of WWII. Just as we blocked Soviet missiles in Cuba in 1962, Putin is rejecting an expanded NATO on their border. Now go Neocon, and please apologize for the Iraq war you launched in 2003 before you push this dangerous mess on innocent people.

Leave your #MAGA credentials at the door. You are no longer welcome among us.

No, it doesn't. Article 5 is only triggered if a member is attacked, not if it attacks someone else.

Why is it so hard for Neocons to focus on our border before the Ukraine’s?

There are still thugs on this very thread that defend putin and Russia’s totally suicide. It’s hard to believe, but it’s incredibly offensive to conservatives and this site itself.

You are a one-track loser mind. Guess what, Trump didn’t slow down illegals either.

People can have opinions on different topics you know?

When their collective opinions drive news cycles, and run contrary to American values, while personally costing me money on necessities, It's our responsibility to challenge it. BTW, Had your feckless Republican party given Trump even 10% of the money they just gave to the Ukraine, we'd be in a secure place.

You get my vote for the best post of the day. But only 1 to 1 odds for betting on a sure thing.
