Probably will get the truth in a week or so.
He who laughs last, laughs best.
Wolverines! (at sea)
The precept to this has already been disproven
The Ukes surrendered
Wars and RUMORS of wars....
On an interior page or on warroom
Not on major media
Not believing yet..
Modern warships don’t need to get close to shore to attack a smaller ship.
Not sure what to believe. But the video did not convince me yet.
Our MSM is NEVER CORRECT. NOT EVE.
Pure Paid Propaganda is what they spew daily.
What do you mean, has it been debunked or confirmed?
“Probably will get the truth in a week or so.”
Yep. We’ll get the truth that the idiot Russian skipper was overconfident and brought his ship in too close to shore resulting in the deaths of officers and crew and the loss of the entire ship.
*If* the skipper was alive after the Ukrainians hit it I’m sure Pidor Putin had him promptly executed and that’s the truth I imagine we’ll find out. Assuming there’s any Russian navy left to talk about that truth when this war is over.
A crew of 80 or so. Small potatoes.
The newspaper Dumskaya reports the Russian Patrol vessel RFS Vasily Bykov was deliberately lured into an area pre-prepared for Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) fire by Ukrainian forces on 7/3/22. She finally sank today.

“Modern warships don’t need to get close to shore to attack a smaller ship.”
This depends on the size of the smaller ship and the weapons available to the attacker.
You might recall that up until the Trump Administration that US warships in the Arab Gulf were typically helpless against small Iranian boats of less than 15 meters in length. Trump had the Navy deploy old fashioned mount .50 weapons and gave the Navy authority to use them which fixed that problem.
The Russian ship was probably configured for taking on ships similar to itself and the smaller ship posed problems for target acquisition.
Had this encounter been out at sea instead of close to shore the Russian ship would have no doubt eventually won the day against the smaller ship. But unbeknownst to the Russian skipper his enemy was not the smaller ship but instead a very adequate shore battery.
Good thinking on your part. There's every possibility the footage may have been cobbled together from a 1994 Serbian war movie. /sarc ... I think.
First days of war...fog rules.
Small unit on tiny island receives command to surrrender or be shelled, message caught on airwaves.
Ukrainians tell Russia war ship to F off. Just like Spartans.... Radio silence.
What do you as commander of Ukraine force assume?
Remarks rather the same as Molon Labe, no?
Odd that you of all people should keep gnawing on this bone.
truly warmest regards still.
Defiant soldiers... i.e., the ones that surrendered?
Granted the loss of one ship is typically a small issue but it’s a bigger issue when you consider the limited number of Russian ships available in the Black Sea.
Add to this the very high probability that Turkey (a NATO member) will not allow replacement warships to enter the Black Sea and now the Russians are facing the potential reduction of their Black Sea fleet by unconventional tactics.
