Hmmm. Civilians live in cities. An invading army targets the cities. The cities’ defenders are in the city. So are the citizens. And that constitutes “human shields?”

They are pretty much surrounded, and are fighting to save their country and its capital. In a city, civilians are ubiquitous. So, by your logic, the defenders should (1) flee the city and get wiped out in the open; (2) surrender. I personally don’t believe in surrenders, especially when the bad guys have openly declared their intent to kill you regardless.

Also, when did the Russians announce their intent to give no quarter to Ukrainian soldiers? The only ones I know that they said that about are the openly Nazi Azov Battalion.

You are aware, I assume, that Russia has labeled the Ukrainian government Nazis (and the Ukrainian president is Jewish!). Russia has said they will “wipe out” the Nazis in Ukraine. By extension, those who support the Ukrainian government will be see as Nazis, as well. It’s Russian logic. But, you are on record advocating for Ukraine’s surrender, and thus its elimination as an independent nation.
Well that’s one down, many more to go.
