Its a huge stretch to go from saying that Covid was created in a lab vs that it was deliberately released.
There are sound reasons to believe that Covid is a genetically engineered virus. This is the point of that gain of function stuff and there are records of this having been done previously. This whole area of research is fundamentally risky, and irresponsible, no matter who is doing it, or where.
But there have also been several cases of accidental releases of pathogens fron Chinese labs. They have “form”, as the British say, for carelessness.
