As for more idiocy, I started watching what for about twenty minutes seemed a good analysis of the overall situation in Ukraine. Then, the speakers talked about the impact the war was having on Global Warming. (Which is a liberal propaganda fantasy as far as I’m concerned.) They seemed to think that Putin and Zelenskyy really needed to focus, not on the physical and financial impact on their people, but on the impact their petty war was having on Global Warming. I rarely hit the dislike button, but I punched it and moved on.

Folks need to understand. Putin holds our western civilization in utter contempt because of our moral rot. There are no values except money, power and perversion in his view, and I will leave it to someone else to rebut his view. He knows we are on the edge of everything coming apart, and we put ourselves in the unfortunate positions where our only deterrent is to blow up the world. Putin has a whole range of options from very small to humongous. Therefore he has a lot more control over the escalatory ladder than we do.
The Ukraine invasion wasn't invented in a day. Force planning and development has been ongoing for a decade, at least.
