President Biden on Saturday directed Secretary of State Antony Blinken to provide $200 million in defense aid for Ukraine, including for military education and training.
Biden directed the funding via a memorandum authorizing a drawdown.
A drawdown is an order issued by the president to assist countries in an emergency without first seeking approval from a legislative authority or budgetary appropriations, according to a Department of Defense handbook.
Saturday's memo notes Blinken can use the aid for military training and to provide general "assistance to Ukraine and to make the determinations required."

All of the NATO countries have been supplying military aid, plus Australia and several others. I wonder what the sum total of all the military aid would be????
My question: Since Congress just passed a gigantic aid package for Ukraine, do they really need what Biden is giving?? and if not, why is he giving it??

The problem with that is the big guy already got his 10% from the Afghanistan equipment so there’s nothing in this for him now. He’s looking ahead for his cut of the new $14 billion we just authorized for Ukraine. Its all about the money don’t you know. ;)

Haven’t we been down this road before with Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan? First we send millions of dollars, then military advisors, then troops on the ground, then thousands of US lives lost and billions of dollars wasted.

OK, then what is your outtake on how this war ends? You really don’t believe there will be US involvement apart from the $200 million so far?

I do not know how this will end. But, unless the Russians cross over the border and out of Ukraine, you will not see NATO troops in the battle. That’s my point.
