Unvaccinated MLB Players will be Refused Entry to Canada, Docked Pay

Major League Baseball may be back in front of the fans, but the league is still not back to normal as MLB has announced that unvaccinated players are still being barred entry to Canada, and they won’t be paid for missing games, either.

According to Sportsnet, MLB has noted that the Canadian border is still closed to unvaccinated visitors. That means that unvaccinated players are on the restricted list.

But MLB also warned that players who miss games because they cannot cross into Canada will not be paid for missing the game.

Shi Davidi added that a few teams took “serious issue” with the ban but ultimately bowed down.

These decisions come on the heels of mask requirements being dropped in every U.S. state and even Democrats leaning toward “declaring victory” against the coronavirus and coming out in favor of loosening restrictions.

Canada is an important economic partner of the US big as China and preferable to them (Beijing).

But if I were POTUS Mr. Trudeau, Ms. Freeland and others would get the Vladimir Putin treatment as in sanctions till Canada’s government drops their vaccine rules.

If I was a pureblood MLB player I’d come down with a minor injury or a mysterious rash before every road trip to Toronto.

That was my initial thought: HOW IS THIS EVEN BEING DISCUSSED WITH A STRAIGHT FACE?

Honestly this is terrifying; the Western oligarchs are provoking reaction with their own doublespeak.

Likely Canada was not pressed to accept financial liability for poisoning the naturally immune gene pool of the purebloods in light of this week’s release of Pfizer test results they tried to hide by a court action.

This is not a real issue as at the end of 2021, 88 percent of the MLB’s tier-one individuals, which includes players as well as top managers and coaches, were fully vaccinated.

If they don’t want the cut, they can get vaccinated. If they feel strongly enough about the vax, they can stay home and meet the team at the next spot on the road trip. They will lose money and service time. And since the minimum salary for players has jumped to $700K/$780K, it’ll be a break for their taxes. They won’t miss it. And it’s their decision.

"Vaccinated" against what exactly? Will they be immune from COVID or will the "vaccine" stop them from spreading COVID?

This impacts the American League specifically and directly impacts the Red Sox, Yankees, Ray and Orioles as they would play the most games in Toronto.

It looks like every AL team plays at least once in Toronto and 4 NL teams: Reds, Phillies, Cardinals and Cubs.

On Boston Sports radio yesterday they noted that JD Martinez has been a vocal anti vaccine guy.

Not sure how MLB can dictate docking pay as the players are private corporations and mlbdictaing who gets paid sounds like monopolistic collusion.

It will follow the rules established by the employers which is their privilege to make complying with Canadian law. And as long as there is no one with any major input that can change the ruling saying the vaccines are unsafe while both countries say they are, then it doesn’t make any difference whether it works or not. The people who make the rules say it does and you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to. But by choosing to not participate, you make the decision for yourself to not be paid for performance of your contract which is another topic.

So far, even at the SCTOUS, everything has been legal doctrine, some questionable, to determine an answer on the use of the vaccines, not the safety. The case for the vaccine early this year was determined by heavily reliance on something known as the “major questions doctrine,” a judicially invented doctrine which the Court says places strict limits on a federal agency’s power to “exercise powers of vast economic and political significance. But that has nothing to do with safety.

So until it is court determined to the finish that the vaccines are unsafe, they can be used and mandated for “economic and political significance.” And remember, the people that have the final say concerning the rules in baseball are the owners who fund that significance.

Au Contraire.

Trudeau learned a *lot*.
He especially learned that the entirety of the Canadian Mainstream Media, and nearly ALL the politicians of ALL parties have his back, no matter WHAT platitudes they may speak to the peons, who vote for them.

Trudeau learned what it feels like to be a dictator and get away with it, and to stomp all over the rights of his subjects, and I bet he thinks that feels pretty damn good.

Trudeau learned that no one *dares* to call him out on his hypocrisy and lies, unless they are prepared to reap the harsh consequences for doing so.
