The European Union should "do more" for Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday, after European leaders poured cold water on the country quickly joining the bloc.
"We need to go harder. This is not what we expect," Ukraine's president said in a video on his Telegram channel.
"The decisions of politicians must coincide with the mood of their people, the people of Europe (...) The European Union must do more for us, for Ukraine."
Zelenskyy demanded last week that Brussels create a "new special procedure" to grant Ukraine "immediate membership".
His appeal on Thursday came a day after EU leaders ruled out such an immediate membership but acknowledged Ukraine's "European aspirations" at a summit in Versailles. They tasked the European Commission to draft an "opinion" on the request — a process that can take weeks.

Putin is a monster and a wolf who senses weakness in Europe and the US.
Once he finishes up Ukraine he will attack the Baltic States and other NATO nations bordering Russia. And his arm won’t be tied behind his back in Ukraine.
We should call his bluff and send Ukraine airplanes now.
Right now he is bogged down in a near grinder there.

Putin's terms are reasonable. Give up Crimea and the Donbas. They don't want to be part of Ukraine as it is and will always cause problems if forced to do so.
Zelenski still gets to keep his army, his job as a Western puppet, and Joe, Hunter, Pelosi, and Kerry will have west Ukraine to launder their money in.
The war has been a catastrophe for Russia. Losing it would be an even greater catastrophe. Putin isn't going to lose. Eventually he'll take the steps he needs to take to win.

Russia is doing a lot worse that expected. Basically stalled, fighting war of attrition. But Russia has huge reserves and better arms as well as chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.
The war was predicted to be over in two weeks.
Ukraine is still fighting very well, heroically defending its country.
However if this goes for long, Russia could still prevail. So Ukraine need as much help as possible! Without help, Russia may still prevail, especially if the use all abovementioned weapons. So far the help for Ukraine is trickling in. Very slowly, because everybody, but the Ukrainians is scared like a hell of Russians.
The crazy dialog about the Polish Mig’s is just illustration of a point.
If Biden has not shitted in his pants, the war could never happened or it could be now over. Russian power was always based on intimidation and bluffing.

Beware people who insist you take sides in what is basically a nasty border war between two corrupt countries.
