The 2020 Census missed counting Hispanics, Blacks and other minority groups and overcounted Whites and Asians, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday.
While the census generally overcounts Whites and undercounts minorities, the discrepancies were higher in 2020 than in 2010, according to the bureau's post-enumeration survey, a resurvey of randomly selected geographic areas the bureau conducts after each decennial census. Most significantly, the undercount for Hispanics more than tripled, from 1.54% to 4.99%, and the undercount for those who identify as "some other race" shot up from 1.63% to 4.34%. The undercounts for Blacks and American Indians/Alaska Natives were also higher than in 2010 but not at a statistically significant rate, the bureau said.
The inaccuracies also swung the other way, with Whites overcounted in 2020 by 1.64%, double the 2010 rate. Asians, who were not over- or undercounted in 2010, were overcounted this time by 2.62%. Both are statistically significant changes, according to the bureau. Thursday's release also included additional demographic analysis estimates that compare population data unrelated to the census with what the census enumerated.
The 2020 count was beset by unprecedented challenges, including the coronavirus pandemic, hurricanes, wildfires and the Trump administration's efforts to add a citizenship question, stop undocumented immigrants from being counted for apportionment and end the count earlier than the bureau had planned. Immigrant advocates and census experts had long warned that such actions would intimidate Hispanics and could reduce participation. Independent analyses of the 2020 count had also indicated likely undercounts among minorities.

For some strange reason, I don’t believe this.
Wonder why?
Journalism. When you couldn’t even get admitted to a studies major.
There is no such thing as “overcounting” in a census unless the allegation is that some people were double counted. The idea is to count everybody.
Undercounting happens because some groups are less inclined to cooperate/participate, and because some groups are less assimilated and have language or other cultural barriers to participation.

2022 — “we didn’t do it right; too many white people.”
Who believes that crapola? Just 18 months later they claim they screwed up?
It’s a way to get Congress to ship more money to Dem states with more POCs and influence redistributing to favor Dems.
So the Census, which supposedly physically counts people, is wrong because their estimates tell them so. So why waste money and time on something that you are going to change to your benefit in the end? (Rhetorical question).

There are.lies, damnable lies, then there are statistics.
Yet in my slice of Spartanburg seeing is believing.
And if scientific statistics are correct, there would also be undercounts of whites. But I guess only minorities count.
On a side note, why are we tracking (counting) based on race or skin color. Shouldn’t every U. S. Citizen be represented equally?

Hispanics who don’t speak much Spanish, and look pretty much like everyone else, have decided that in the US they’re considered white.
This white family was undercounted by four, I think. Sent it in very late.

The Census Bureau, bland though it and its mission sound, is every bit as Deep State as any other Democrat-controlled bureaucracy (FBI, CIA, Dept. of “Education”, Dept. of “Justice”, etc.) and has been fully politicized — to do the bidding of its Democrat masters — since at least the 1980s.
The alleged experts at the Bureau routinely use “statistical adjustments” to invent people — not just any people, only minorities — out of thin air in order to artificially and fraudulently puff up the counts of Democrat cities and states.
Funny thing though, if you check their initial “estimates” of the racial breakdowns of the 2020 Census you will find much different data than the so-called full counts — many more Whites in those estimates and ***MANY*** fewer mulattos, like HALF as many.
Either the Bureau isn’t very good at estimating things after all — in which case why should we trust their “adjustments” now? — or their estimates WERE quite accurate, but then the books had to be cooked since those estimates were not as politically correct as the puppetmasters wanted them to be. Remember the giddyness of the puppetmaster-controlled media in August of 2021 when the official Census numbers were first released and showed that Whitey was in severe decline?
