With Democrats on the ropes and Republicans divided, Mitt Romney should consider running for president. The year 2022 is shaping up to be a good year for the electoral prospects of the loyal opposition. Two years after losing the presidency — and then watching helplessly as Donald Trump’s petulance poisoned the Republican effort to win in Georgia and keep control of the Senate — the GOP is suddenly poised for a comeback in Congress.

I agree - the country would be best served if Mr. Romney would resign from the Senate and run for the office of president of BYU...

My older sister converted to Mormonism to marry her sweetheart. Years later, 1988, I was handed a book promoting Romney for President. They knew I was a conservative Christian.
"I can't do it, I tell ya", when asked if I could support him for president.
"We knew it!," they replied. "It's because he's LDS, isn't it?"
"Actually, no," I said. "It's because he was elected Governor of Massachusetts and anyone who can get elected from that state is too liberal for me. It told me he was either a duplicitous liar or he was running in the wrong party."

He would be decimated if he ran again.
I can’t think of anyone who does not regret voting for that human weather vane.

He was booed off the stage at the state convention. His only shot at reelection is if the party puts up another stiff like McMuffin in the primary.

You can see it from a mile away. He has been positioning himself for this by being the second coming of mccain.

I’d rather him crawl under a rock than having him hold any level of position of power with publicity

Not only no, but hell no. I refused to vote for him in 2012 and I’ll refuse to vote for him in 2024.

He needs to be strapped to the roof of a station wagon and driven through multiple sandstorms.
