Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has given the smaller nation’s embassy in Washington an unexpected role: recruitment center for Americans who want to join the fight.
Diplomats working out of the embassy, in a townhouse in the Georgetown section of the city, are fielding thousands of offers from volunteers seeking to fight for Ukraine, even as they work on the far more pressing matter of securing weapons to defend against an increasingly brutal Russian onslaught.
“They really feel that this war is unfair, unprovoked,” said Ukraine’s military attaché, Maj. Gen. Borys Kremenetskyi. “They feel that they have to go and help.”

I’m confident there isn’t a single warmongering politician — or any of their FR sycophants — lining up there at the embassy.

Quite a few Americans served in the RAF under similar circumstances during the Battle of Britain in 1940-1.

More propping up of Uke. Highly unlikely that a canadian would fight for another country when they wouldn’t even stand up and fight their own. Same with our country. This is more PR.

Hahaha go protect that corrupt shithole! Complete morons. They aren’t freedom fighters, but dumb enough to believe they are. What they are fighting to preserve, but aren’t smart enough to comprehend, is to preserve US politician investments from the likes of Biden and Romney families.

Soros, Clinton, Kerry and Pelosi too.
What do Romney, Kerry, Biden and Pelosi have in common? They all have kids sitting on the boards of Ukrainian energy companies.

Putin should have taken out Soros, Schwab and the evil Clinton/Obama/Biden regime in one simultaneous strike.
If he would have done that, we would have peace on earth right now. /spit

They might snag a few idealists.
The war propaganda is being laid on pretty thick.

To: Vigilanteman
Quite a few Americans served in the RAF under similar circumstances during the Battle of Britain in 1940-1. That would likely have been a lot easier, because the Yanks & Brits all spoke English. Going to Ukraine, if you don't speak their language, could get you killed your first day there.
Seems like I once read (with regard to combat), "If you don't have communications, you don't have sh!t"...

In the Spanish Civil War the “international brigades” were a small number of primarily communists; many of them were persona non grata in their home countries. They had no impact beyond propaganda purposes; useless as real soldiers.
